I was a Marauder driver in Mechwarrior, Timber Wolf in MW2, and I don't even remember for MW3, but the Mad Cat MkII really won me over in MW4. Of course, we couldn't modify the Marauder, or it would have been unstoppable.

Kinda depends on which version of Battletech your playing.

Tabletop: L1: (old school 3025 era) Thunderbolt, L2: (original clan invasion era) Hellbringer.

MechWarrior 1: Warhammer (I can't begin to tell you how many time I've killed the Dark Wing piloting my good ol dependable Whammy...

MechWarrior 2: Maruader IIC, Timber Wolf.

MechWarrior Online: Jagermech, Shadow Hawk.

Now as to pure artwork I'm a slave to trends, I really like the Timber Wolf, with the Warhammer a close second.

My favorite Mech is the Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) back in the 90's as a kid. That was the only mech that got me playing Mechwarrior 2. I saw this mech as a desktop icon, in the regular intro, the Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon intros and as a part of the Trial of Greviance screen. Man, I played the heck out of that mech back then.
