*mouth watering* holy {Scrap} that thing is AMAZING!!!!!! its cockpit could be a little brighter but its really nice looking as is. but as usual just like all the phoenix mechs so far it looks like a really bad 3D print job (A.K.A. colours are really washed out and has that weird grey "film" over it thats kinda like a cetemeter thick layer of dust). however it looks nice and follows the concept art well. dispite my hatred of the in game battlemaster the shadow hawk is looking pretty good. but as said before i hope they have all their concept art decals in game.

Not much XL friendly, CT is thin but experienced players will hammer your crotch easy unless you shield it with the legs. Too bad it costs 80$ and I have to wait the next year for it, but seeing the tallness of the SH and the probably uber-bulkyness of the TB (I don't even consider the Locust lol), I'm happy I didn't fell in the Phoenix.

Not disappointed though really. Like it better with decals though.

I hope that the skin is unfinished. What sticks out to me is
missing decals
colors changed in places
fatter arms
bulging crotch
Nothing major, it just looks dull in comparison to the concept art to me.
Gotta love these innersphere Techs and Astechs though. They can replace limbs, engines, heatsinks... basically rebuild your mech from the ground up, but they can't seem to find a bucket of decent paint anywhere.

Things often do, to me to least. I love concepts but the end result always feels different. I see what you mean though. The crotch looks same-ish to me, or at least how I expected it to turn out though I agree with the rest.
While I don't like the new Founder Catapult skin (so dark) there is hope that if this doesn't look that great when it lands that they might fix it... or make it terribly dark.

My issue with the reveal vs. the original is that I always interpreted those teeth on the upper arms as being geared into the shoulders, and the new art just shows them as monstrous epaulets. They do look good for providing protection from side angle head shots, though.

I don't know if there'll be on the mechs. I hope they are because the concept art has it and a lot of people expect to see it in game. So if it's not in the game people will scream foul.

You can see PGI wants people to use it because it's tiny.

- VERY high mounted torso weapons
- Big arms fer blockin'
- Locations of the energy hardpoints on the side torsos seem indicative of a small, brawl-friendly CT
- Torso is very compact overall
- Differs from the concept art in some non-aesthetically pleasing ways
- Looks like CT may protrude a bit, making it difficult to fully shield.
- Big 'crotch' area

To be honest, the concept art is pretty damn close to the ingame art. There are a few differences though
- The Large energy weaponon the right arm is overslung instead of underslung now (actually gameplaywise this is an improvement, because the weapon will be slightly higher than with the concept version)
- The Shoulders are much higher than in the concept (Again in improvement gameplaywise as the arms can shield much better)
- The cockpit and the belly seem to be protruding more than with the concept (Gameplaywise this is worse as they are then easier to hit).

A sinner indeed! Can't wait for the Thunderbolt. I hope they keep its underslung laser beem.
Battlemaster looks cool though. Probably going to be a bit on the shorter end of things, which is interesting. Hopefully the hitboxes aren't terrible.

To be fair, if you compared the ShadowHawk to a skinny basketball player and BattleMaster to a big jolly brute, you can assume that just because something's taller doesn't mean it's bigger and more fearsome in general.
