Well things are going from people ripping heads off, to people thinking about ripping heads off every once in a while. Overall alot less negativty. Feels nice.

Shares in comm-star communications have skyrocketed the last two weeks. Speculators suggest we may see a small sell off as profit takers move in, but the current bull trend is likely to continue through to the year 3051. We wait with anticipation.

That means, ur statement on "we can't deliver hero mech with a mech bay" is purely false, as u are delivering 12 mechs (for me) with 12 mech bays along...

Their delivery is totally different. The Phoenix mechs are being added onto your mechbay. A hero mech is bought through a mech slot, currently you can't access the mech store without having a mech slot.

Oh, well... if it's on Twitter, it has to be true.

Coming from a Software Engineering, a stakeholder is anyone who would use the software in any way (sales, use, ect.), in this case the stakeholders would be PGI as a business, IGP as a business, anyone specified in the contract giving the MW rights to PGI (IDK if they need to answer at all to Catalyst), and the players. Identifying who the stakeholders are in this way can be tricky at times.
In a business sense a stakeholder would be anyone who has something invested in the product, in this case it would knock out the players.

Now you aren't going to ask a bunch of players if it's OK to create a feature, but you can look on the forums to see if the players have any ideas or wants pertaining to a feature you are going to present to the other stakeholders (PGI upper management and IGP).

There would be no way to determine who would be included in a figurative definition of "stakeholder". The players are literally not stakeholders. Not anymore so than one would be a stakeholder of McDonalds because they buy a filet-o-fish once a week. Same thing. The players represent the profit source so they will tailor the game for that purpose but stakeholders? na

Players who have purchased Overlord or Guardian packages will be able to select and redeem between 2 and 4 cockpit hanging items from the 6 available factions. You will be able to select any combination of hanging items.

Will there be a time limit on the selection of the hanging cockpit items? I would like to hold off on selecting until I inderstand more about CW.

Thank you.

Looks good!

Pity, however, there is no mention of any development/progress on:
  • Mech Collisions
  • HSR and Hit Registration improvements
  • Mech Hitbox refinement
Looks like these issues are still going to be present in Community Warfare…

What is the general (saying general to keep the forum timekeepers frustrated) length of time from Design 1 to Design 3?

I have been asking for these updates to return, and pgi has delivered. My unit will undoubtedly be satisfied with most of this information, but I second the general time length estimates for some of these. I'm pretty sure public testing means it's >1 month out, but the rest is kind of unknown for us.

Not to sound ungrateful to this awsome update post but can you please tell us the hardpoints for the rest of the Phoenix mech variants before they are released.

I have been on the brink of buying one of the packages for sometime but just need a little more info. I would be much more inclided to buy the Overlord package if there was a Thunderbolt variant I actually wanted.

Yay, information! Next up:

Any chance of giving a list/ideas of loyalty point rewards?

I'm sure it's been brought up, but anyone who picked up the Phoenix package that grants the loyalty medal things will want to know which to pick so they can choose ones that will grant them the kind of rewards they want. Ex: Loyalty Bonus: Kurita. "You get X% off Kurita-specific 'Mechs, such as Dragons". Admittedly I'm saying that from a Lone Wolf perspective. For all I know those with specific factions would just grab a bunch of medals for their faction.

I would like to second this, but I've already got some guesses based on Sarna. I know one of the Thunderbolts will be jump-capable.

Moving a the reticle away from a targeted 'Mech will decay the lock-on once again.

That explains why I was suddenly shooting LRMs at a target behind me 30 seconds after the target was lost on my HUD.
