This post sums it up well.
- If it's truly a deathmatch - then timer should go.
- If there is timer - then every mean of stalling the fight for the purpose of survival (for whatever reason) is LEGITIMATE.

Simple.

It may be simple, but it simply contrasts with the Official Rules. The Official Rules state that deliberately disengaging and hiding from the enemy for an entire match, or for the duration of a match, is a punishable offense; repeat infractions may result in sanctions being placed on your in-game account.

Context is key - an idea may be simple as a stand-alone concept, but there is no such thing as "stand-alone concepts" in an online game with rules to abide by.

Ok well if we get to pick the hanging items for our loyalty points then I have one question ... will there be indepth info for the user to read and understand the abilities for each medallion? This way when we go to make our choices we are sure of what we are wanting.

Sorry for not being happy, but "StarCitizen" looks really faster and better as for it age and money!
I hope MWO will be good enough BEFORE "StarCitizen" comes out.

It appears to be be doing better at equivalent age but I'm sorry, there is no comparison here where the money is concerned. SC has been publicly funded to the tune of over $21million and climbing. I will not argue that the game LOOKS great but it wont be released till next xmas at the earliest so we wont know till then if they have hit it out of the park or not.

Did you really just say that? uhm ok....... next noble wachamacallit lol

Really, this is nothing more than was said at the launch event, which was nothing more than was said several months ago, which is in turn nothing more than was said in OB, which was nothing more than was said in CB.

Don't say you're gonna do it, do it. Timelines mean nothing at this point.Show me results at this point but I'll remain skeptical but open for being proven wrong

I never said the criticism was unfounded or uncalled for.

My point is directed straight at the present day "AAA" game titles, including GTAV which has been said to cost over 100 million $ to make, in itself. The marketing another shot at that the very least. Overall is somewhere nevertheless of "beyond 200 million $". How long did it take to make? Five years. Movies are starting to pale in this subject.

How many hundreds of millions EA poured in to The Old Republic? How many years did it take to "finish"? More than five years.

- In general, everything from Company of Heroes to Dawn of War, was made in 4/5 years. This includes our beloved and famed Mechwarrior 2/3/4. Heck, even Mechcommander 1/2 took that time to make. I'm not here to be a "noble wachamacallit". What I am making as a stand is that the criticism is not unfounded, and I've never said it was.

This game has been in the works for 2 years, the very tops, with a "proper full-time team". I intend to wait for another 3, if need be. MWLL was out in 2008 with its first alpha. It's 2013 now, and we all know how well it ended up in its latest Beta.
- This is why I am patient, in this subject.
***

I gave my nods & hats off to Bryan for at least unveiling something what's "under the hood", and I intend to stick with my down-payment of a full-blown Mechwarrior Game. I came here for Mechs, Vicky & 'Master. One day Aerospace/Tanks would be even better. But one step at a time.

Now where's my Ymir and Mackie? I need to kit them out for the Clans... (not intended to be as an offensive post, for the record; just putting things in to perspective. There's always room for criticism, but uncalled taunt on a player is another subject)

An update without passive-aggressive whining and alienation of fans. I see you took my suggestion to heart PGI.

I like lots of what was mentioned there. I'm super interested in DX11, and hopefully that will bring SLI support too too! I may just download the PL client and have a go.

Death match without a timer should 90% of the time result in the Spider-5D (1 ERLL + ECM and Advanced Zoom) or Raven-3L (1ERLL + ECM and Advanced Zoom) being king vs 3-4 mechs. Once, you're team has been taken out, simply run as far away as possilble take a pot shot and run to a new spot. Keep this up for 3-4 hours. If your opponent isn't another light mech, you should win.

There is a need for a timer in deathmatch. You know that there will be a troll who just goes into some hidden spot and will shutdown or run around forever to keep from getting killed. The match has to end no matter what. Having your mech stuck in a hour long deathmatch that has only an atlas vs a spider (with no weapons) is totally unacceptable.

In early closed beta, people hid in the Forest Colony cave to run out the time. People complained, and now we have capping.

What the ****, wasn't it supposed that UI 2.0 went in on late october?? Your last guess about delivery was on mid-late october for UI 2.0, and late november for CW phase 1....this just means, we will be getting UI 2.0 on mid november, and CW phase 1 by january almost (althought u have said thousands of times u would deliver within 2 weeks after UI 2.0....)...

I'm just astonished right now, seriously....

First of all, i thought u need UI 2.0 to deliver the ProPho mechs, due to the mechbay problem...->

That means, ur statement on "we can't deliver hero mech with a mech bay" is purely false, as u are delivering 12 mechs (for me) with 12 mech bays along...

It is easy to deliver something like that with the servers down, not so much when they are up. Get over yourself, can't you be happy that things are taking a positive direction? Do you enjoy being "astonished" at what - to you, seemingly - shouldn't be any surprise at all?

Can you imagine in that Atlas vs Spider battle being one of the people that has been dead the entire time? So, your siting about trying to stay tooned into the game... and fall asleep.

Yeah, an Atlas vs a weaponless Light mech would not be good for a DM environment that lacks a timer. You can't just expect players to argue over All-Chat until one of them gives up and forfeits.

Good Comms PGI, keep it up.

I'm not happy with the pace of these updates, but to tell you the truth I will never be happy with the pace. Good comms keep me from turning green.

The problem here is you misunderstand the limitations.

They cannot deliver bundled items within the mechlab store. Maybe you noticed that the Phoenix Pack is not bought in game? You can't use MC to buy it? That's it's something you purchase on the webpage?

Yeah. That's one of the major limitations with the current mechlab.

Thank you for communicating the development roadmap. It is a good feeling knowing we have a lot to look forward to. I only hope CW doesn't take another year or so...I'm very excited about what is in Design 2!!
