Well,
the best way in this case founders can be honored is:
1. give the founders and phoenix cockpit items ability to be not only hanging item (personally i'm thinking this banging side-to-side thing is awfully distracting and make me feel bad). Personally i would prefer if it can be swapped to other type of cockpit item, like a little badge flag on the panel or small panel-mounted figure. The best will be flag - it is not distracting like annoying hanging item.
2. give the founder's cockpit item included 2.5% loyalty bonus for every of 6 factions, so founder will have his bonuses in every mission without bothering with switching items while proud to use it's founder's badge

it will be the best option for the founder players.

Instead of hanging items in the Cockpit, a Special Faction Decal on Mech would be better so everyone in the game can see to which faction you belong.

Generally, the patches are between 10 am and 1 pm PDT. Here's a handy tool to see when that is in your time zone.

PT stands for Public Test, the test server.

That's what I was looking for.

Admins, please include times in your upcoming announcements. If it happens to be "the same time as always", new players will potentially be unaware of what that specific information and feel under-informed. Thank you and good luck with the patch!

This is a reasonable request. New players won't know the patch cycle, so giving specific details on things like this is never a bad idea.

They usually do that in the "upcoming patch" threads. Those, however, generally don't show up until about this time - i.e. an hour or two before the actual patch (and sometimes they don't show up until the server has gone down for patching).

and that is a bit late,.. was hoping to play after work but from what I can tell here I have to wait for the patch to come between 7 o'clock and midnight,..

*sight*
"like always" the best time to be playing on a workday,.. And YES I do feel under-informed as in when to expect stuff I paid money for ages ago.
BUT if I'm under-informed because people where to busy making the game better its not a problem.

a more likely reason is that if you don't give a time-window for server downtime you don't get all the fuss from gamers when the announced time-window is not met and servers are down for scheduled maintenance.

Under-informed or haven't looked? They do the patches on the same times every time - server goes down at 10 am PDT.

The patch window generally is 3 hours (so the servers are up at 1 pm PDT), and they're usually very good at communicating if a patch takes longer than expected.

Stjobe is correct. Also, excluding a few unfortunate incidents, patches have gone fast most times I have been able to observe them personally sitting at my computer. On several occasions, servers were back up after about 40 minutes after they shut down. WoW may be a bigger game, but even so, I find 40 minutes very reasonable compared to the 6+ hours Blizzard often needs. (And though my almost 40 year old brain may fail me, I do not think PGI has ever needed 17+ hours to get their servers back up, which has happened at least twice during the years I have played WoW.)

This particular one might take longer as they will want to make sure Project Phoenix deliveries work as planned and whatever "extras" make this patch, too. And by "extras", I mostly mean additional fixes to those two which were already announced in another thread.

A bit disappointed that spiders got faster and can turn tighter without any mention of any HSR fixes. They were just getting reasonably hittable... I AM pleased that we have some new mechs to play around with, but I hope to hear about SRM fixes and pulse laser balances, and the afore-mentioned HSR fixes and some hitbox fixes for mechs like the Orion and Awesome (CT is too easy to hit on both).
