Just a reminder to those of you who weren't here last year around this time. We are about to enter the holiday season and with that comes vacations. So basically what we get by Thanksgiving will be about it if last year was any indication. After that do not look for much content until mid to late January. (hopefully I am wrong about this)

So... Canadian Thanksgiving hasn't happened already?

I think he meant (American) Thanksgiving as a date rather than a cause of the vacations.

I think he forgot that PGI was in Canada which doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving at the same time, in order to make it sound like they have many more holidays coming before the end of the year.

Obviously every single staff member from PGI is Canadian born and bred correct?

I wasn't specifically speaking on the Canadian mandated holidays but more of personal time off that staff may take to be with friends and family. Sorry to have to be so specific I kinda figured it was implied.

Either way lets hope its not like last year.

e: also nothing wrong with spending time off just don't want people acting crazy come mid-december and the content slows down.

Things in the Canadian workforce usually slow down by around December 10th when the Christmas parties ramp up and people take time off. I would expect them to be pretty busy bees up until that time, though, to get in what they can. Don't forget that the Sabre package is due to deliver in December. I think that will be their last major deadline this year and then we will see things pick up the week after New Year's.

Canadian offices usually don't observe American Thanksgiving, so they will not be closed for the weekend, especially the Montreal office. It's business as usual!

You know, there is nothing wrong with admitting you were wrong. It's ok. I do it all the time.

Thanks Karp!

I also think maybe we will see the moonbase map, the new modules and hopefully the new xp/cbill rewards before then but the biggies like the UI will be Jan-Feb. Also I hope they do the same holiday sale as last year with all the cockpit stuff at those cheap prices as well as a sale on the MC packs (iirc that was late November last year).

The other thing that happened this time last year was the sale. There was a black Friday sale with 15% or 20% bonus and possibly a Christmas one as well (not 100% sure Christmas sale happened). PGI has stated that they would have their sale the same time as last year, so keep an eye out.

edit: daww, ninja'd a little

Hey bud sometimes i think the white light reflecting off that shiny armor gets in your eyes. Noone here was being critical just letting people know what to expect and why.

He wasn't wrong, it was just a statement that come the "Holiday Season" (Late November - Early January) that content/feedback/etc. becomes even more sporadic.

The fact that the beginning of this coincides with the American Thanksgiving Holiday, is only partially coincidental.

Honestly, I do not mind delays. I mean, I'd rather them take longer than expected originally so that they can make the new content more stable and more properly coded, rather than them releasing when they said they originally would and have a bunch of bugs due to a not-fully stable project and have to deal with bugs and glitches.

Am I the only one that feels this way? I'd rather wait longer and have a complete, bug-free CW than a early-beta of it.

I don't like delays, but fortunately I have enough stuff going on that I can deal with them like a rational adult. :P

Fall - Development slows due to the holidays.
Winter - Development slows due to sads.
Spring - Development slows due to holidays.
Summer - Development slows due to vacations.

If we could only find some robot programmers we would be in business.
