Is this secretly a moment of lucidity where you realize they'll **** up the new UI, **** up DX11, **** up the clans, and **** up CW? Or do you think they won't have glaring problems because PGI will swap the management and engineers entirely between now and then?

Dude. Read my other posts. I've seen your ways of viewing these forums man. You just scan through poeples' posts for something you can attack. If you even bothered to look at my other posts, I said that cw and everything else will most likely have bugs. I never once said anything along the lines of "PGI is the best! They always do their best and we all love them and I love them and they never screw up and they're doing a great job!! <333333"
So uh......yeah. I am not happy with 'em either, but insulting them does not change their pace of work. Sorry. I know I know...you're crushed that your rude words and rudimentary remarks are not affecting PGI's speed of work....but fear not! For they have a support email you can send all your requests and ideas and complaints too! Isn't the internet a magical place?

2: I'd rather wait a year for CW and have it less buggy and more full of content then get it one year early and deal with game breaking bugs, glitches, and failures due to rushed coding. I mean....if you wanna spend all day reporting bugs, go for it man.
Ok, I read this and I had to respond. First off you make the assumption that CW is not out because they are polishing it up and squashing bugs. I may be incredibly cynical but I seriously doubt the release of CW, whenever that might be will be feature rich and bug free.
Secondly, that is the WHOLE point of beta releases. To test and fix broken mechanics before they are released.
I unfortunately check in here more often than I log on these days. Coming online hoping for some news, any news. And no soon is not news. To tell you the truth, forum warrior is more dynamic than the current gameplay. It was fun, for a long while, but I'm just spent now.

Yes, because an updated UI is critical to being able to talk to your customers.
Sarcasm.
But honestly, how can they hold the game hostage to a UI for 1 year...and when UI2 does come out, we are left with the same game play. No new anything. A shiny new UI is not going to bring the players back. So why push the players away as you flounder on a UI which should have taken 3 months to do?

If you guys can't accept that fact and deny that....then I truly feel sorry for all of you.
I didn't buy a founder's package to buy into the development of the company or to support the devs. If my purchase supported the devs then that is a side benefit, but the reason I bought a Founder's Package was because they were offering something I wanted to purchase: Founder's 'Mechs, MC, Premium Time, and name in the credits, oh and the forum tag I guess is nice too. And what do you know! That's exactly what I got!
But that's it. No emotional "here, let me help you make the game I want!" or "I'm investing in you because I BELIEVE!!!". Just make something I want and I will buy it. This isn't about the hopes and dreams for a mystical future game that only exists in my head (which only I can make, and likely only I would enjoy). I'm here now because I want MechWarrior and this is where MechWarrior is for me.
They made something I wanted and I bought it. It's that simple. If they make more stuff I want, I will buy that too. We're not Angel Investors or Stock Holders with a stake in the company or a say in its direction, we're customers. Consumers.

To some degree, this is correct. In a legal, technical sense of the word, what you purchased was the right to use certain content in PGI's game at their discretion.
I do feel like that's a bit misleading though. If you had purchased that content and then a week later it was announced that the game was done being developed and what you got was what you got, and the servers would be gone for good when at the end of that month, I bet you'd be pissed. And that's exactly the point. In addition to the mechs and MC, you're buying a promise that PGI will put forth a good-faith effort to finish the game, and support it for as long as possible.
See, a lot of people know that this game would not have gotten made if the founders pack had been released and it was a total flop, grossing only a few thousand dollars. The project almost certainly would have been shut down immediately. So in a fairly real sense, yes, everyone who bought a founders pack or has paid money to the devs to show them that they support the game, and want to help keep the lights on is an investor, because they knowingly gave money to an unfinished project in hopes that it would someday soon be completed. I'm also going to anticipate the replies of "But you got something for your money, you're not an investor!" What, do you think normal investors get no return on their money? Most of them do it with some expectation of future profit in return. What you're getting is significantly less than that, in exchange for investing less risk in the company.
So you're right, in a legal sense, PGI have absolutely no obligation whatsoever to us. They could close down the servers tomorrow and then sell our email addresses to spam lists and be perfectly within their rights. Everything that they were obligated to do, they have done. But then again, that would also be the same sort of move that would leave people outraged, and would almost certainly result in the kind of backlash that takes down small companies. That does rather imply that even though there is no legal obligation, there is still an expectation that PGI will continue to develop the game; and right now, a lot of people feel that that expectation is not being met.

Exactly. Some people who bought a founders package think that buying the package meant they get a seat at the meeting table for PGI. WRONG. lol. Glad there is another founder out there like me who has a shred of common sense (Well, you have a lot more than a shred it seems )
As for the person who responded to me about CW being bug free. I never said it was going to be bug free. Rather that it will be a more rich and fufilling experience. This person who claimed I was saying it will be bug free, only supports my case of forum warriors scanning someone's post and looking for something to attack. I believe his exact words were:

Ok, I think your talking about me here. I apologize for that. I was responding to your first post on the subject. After reading further and seeing your clarification of your comment our views on the state of the game once CW is released are pretty similar. You are just far more optimistic than I am on the timeframe and quality. The game will be much better, if it ever arrives.

Thats essentially what happened when they did a q and a with chris roberts. Some shrew flat out told them'dont answer that!!"
and they didnt.
Thats the only justification for this po op show.
Its bizarre to see such dysfunction for me.
mektek was basically a love fest for the work they did, at least on the website
mwll the same.
mwo has devolved into flat out disdain and its justified.

Hold your horses.
Also, just because there isn't a new update for this month doesn't mean the game has stopped being dveloped. A CDU isn't a patch feed, it's a guide to what's going to happen with the game over a period of time. A period of time in which we currently are in.
