Hi guys. If you'd like to follow along with the MWO journey of a very new player, I'm only 2 weeks old to the game and I'm releasing regular MWO content to youtube.

It's main aim is a running commentary on the game experience, and to help newer players get a feel for the game. I've had some great training so I'm passing it on.

Be prepared, my style is not soft.

No idea why everyone is saying no.

I checked the first video and besides the recording not seeming to fit to well, you do speak quite clearly and I see a bit of potential. Will subscribe and see how things will turn. So far so good. Also good to hear you have a bit of background with battletech. I do like it when people know what they are talking about to a standard rather it be a BT game ,WWII, etc...

I mean, it's a little cringe worthy as an experienced player. A lot of your advice and statements are just... wrong. It's understandable given you're a newbro but you talk like you know what you're doing already. Other than that it's just pretty boring, minimally edited pug game footage. There's tons of this stuff already out there. The biggest plus is you're not yet another yank with an annoying voice.

It would be cooler if your videos had some sort of purpose to them and were more tightly edited. Just matches... meh.

...because it's slightly funny to have such a blunt answer?

Pug matches, with commentary. Thanks. Try turning volume on lol. See it from a new players perspective too.

ALSO... I'm a sexy individual

BTW. these are just puggy trash, I'm preparing a proper edited series on new player stuff. It's probably going to go a LOT deeper than most of the beginner guides tho. Well, I assume. I wonder how much respect is given to the new players intellect considering the comments I see about them all over the forum. I can only assume the guides are made in such a manner?

Maybe I'll go looking :P

Oh, and I got most of the HSSSHHHHH out of the mic tonight thankfully!

So quality is rising.

We actually cover newbros pretty well, given this game is kind of niche. Homeless-Bill just made a good post about this:

I toggle arms as needed. In fact, the amount of "pro's" I see spamming lasers all over every torso because they DONT toggle is astounding.

Only detoggle if its tactical. Otherwise it's just BAD.

Nik, thanks man :D

Wait, to be fair, some weapon set ups are good to always have detoggle. SOME.

Arm toggle is situation and loadout dependent. Hell, I toggle arm lock repeatedly in most matches. If you're torso twisting to spread incoming damage, arm lock CERTAINLY needs to be turned off. If you're trying to converge arm and torso weapons accurately while on the move, turn it on.

Toggle it on and off regularly, depending on the situation.

Don't let some try hard tell you otherwise.

Meh, I'll sub in good faith. As for toggle/default, well, different strokes for different folks. Either works as long as it's not permalocked.

you leave them off and then toggle them if you really need to focus everything in one spot...

back in the day this toggle **** didn't even exist...

the reason this is a thinking man's shooter is because you have two reticules... something that PGI ppromptly nerfed to pander to the unwashed masses... (which never came btw).

There's more to it than that for being a thinking man's game. Adding an arm lock is NOT a nerf by any definition. It's simply an alternative and nobody's forcing you to use it.
