Yes. Except the hit detection is worse for trebs( for me). Otherwise blowing a hole in them is pretty easy. I always seem to make zombies out of hunchbacks.
Pretty sure that Tbolt pic cemented the XL engine in place in mine. I can deal with goofy hitbox stuff so long as it isnt the size of an HGN.
I am actually surprised it is as compact looking, I was expecting something a little less lean in the middle based on the fact it was originally an assault mech and also from the concept work.
Provided it isnt a toothpick CT, this will open up a lot of options for me for loadouts.

I'm calling this Chassis the "Shaq-O-Hawk" from now on. Sorry PGI...you screwed up on this mech.
Love the rest of the package though.

Less about Brute Firepower and more about Finesse.
It works very well as a line mech just hill hump'n and hammering targets.

I honestly haven't tried to brawl with a SH, until I figure out the hitboxes it will probably remain that way.

I'lll agree with the first part. For the second? It's like a thin Highlander. The thing is stupidly tall. No way a medium mech should be that tall.

I stayed at range, and died. Mostly to CT coring, even when twisting.
I tried to make this Royal Brigade Shadow Hawk work, but its a no go ; SHD-2Hb http://bte.battletec...te/pdf/4020.pdf
The Shaq literally feels like a Highlander, without Highlander armor. Compared to MW4's Shadowhawk, this version is less fun to play for me. Plus with MWO's fail jump jets, it jumps 15 meters, rather than 120m in any direction, which was the whole point of its original stock loadout.
The Hawk wasn't very tall in MW4, but it is in MWO, so 2 comments up about "its tall for a reason" is false dichotomy. What reason? "Its should be tall and not mount Assault Mech armor, best reason!

I honestly hate that it's XL friendly. It seems like the Shadowhawk's Hitboxes look like this
I would much rather XL be a risk and have a tougher mech, Locust and BM are the same way. The only one that's decent is the Tbolt for hitboxes.
Few more mechs like this and I'll put up a poll to just combine the CT, LT, RT all into one armor hitbox so we can all run XL's.
And it can be just as pointless as FF and Endo, only reason you wouldn't is you don't have space.
