Mind you, all mechs are far, far too light for their size. A modern MBT weight about the same as a heavy mech and is tiny in comparison. In fact, mechs are of so low density that they couldn't wade through a deep river because they'd float away.

Taller then a Tbolt (However Tbolt is wider)
Slower then Hunchy. Smaller field of view then hunchy.
I get this is the "early" mech type. But still.
Also whats with the claw game style hands? I can't punch with those. >.>
Love the design just want it 7.5% smaller (Slightly larger then Cent but smaller then it is now.

Uh, which stock quickdraw goes faster than a stock Shadowhawk? Far as I know they all go 81 kph as stock.
And as far as I see in mechlab the Hunch both starts slower and has a slower max speed. Not sure if you know what you're talking about here.

No clue if you guys have a point or not when it comes to the SH,
But by comparison, what are my chances of getting a Blackhawk/Nova without a turret?
Judging by the other should-have-been-turretless-mechs-introduced-so-far, I am guessing zero.
So, I would like to sympathize, but I think your issue is much smaller than mine.
Just saying.

Oh, you would be looking for a lot of sympathy once you got a non turreted Nova in game and got killed by almost anythign else.
No mobility means death.

And the QKD has to fit 1ton JJs
Shadow hard points look better, more flexible than what the QKD has as well.
if anything the SH is just another mech to make the QKD even more obsolete because of the access to high level engines. And ballistic hard points.

You got what you paid for. Your disappointment should have started long before complaining about the Shadowhawk, in the form of the Awesome's scale+hitboxes, and other various mechs that suffer from scaling problems. The Trebuchet does not weep for you either and neither does the Cicada.
you haven't spent 80$ just to find that one of the mechs (a 55ton medium) are the size of Godzilla. if you paid 80$ only to find out that 3/12 mechs are nearly unplayable because its the size of A FREAKING BATTLE-MASTER WHICH IS A 85 TON ASSAULT! you would be flipping tables in anger.

<- Spent $80. Saw SHD's size. Got annoyed. Played SHD. Not annoyed anymore.
Would I like it smaller? Sure. I'd like a rescaling pass done on all 'mechs. But it's not stopping me from enjoying them.

One on one, I agree, the Nova is severely gimped.
But that is why you have teammates.
Jump jet manuvering should help with the mobility issues.
Originally the Hells Horses designed the Nova as an anti-infantry mech.
But, its low profile, high speed, high armor, and firepower for its weight make it a threat you ignore at your own peril.
And, technically, it has two turrets, called arms.
When I first played Mechwarrior, lo so many years gone, I had problems with effectively controlling the mech base, and turret, and arms, all pointed in sometimes different directions. Not to mention all the other things you needed to be doing and controlling during combat. For me, the Nova was an easy beginner mode. A few less controls and keep the enemy in front of you.
Heck, I would wager there is more than one pilot in this game who keeps his turret pointed strictly forward.

Real world doesn't apply.
Do you see a 100 ton Humanoid Tank invading the lands anywhere in reality? No, because its not possible.

Yup. Uziel 55 tons, Small, Catapult about same height as that 55 ton Mech even though its 10 tons heavier (also had better hitboxes).
Assault Mechs towered over its small hunkered down frame, the boxes only make it appear big. Compared to MWO, the catapult is bigger in this game.

Looking at these joints, the only way a Nova's arms could possibly move is just up & down. They've basically just pinned the lower arm to the upper arm to the torso/legs, which are also laterally inflexible, all flat surfaces against flat surfaces.

Probably so. I just wonder what their life expectancy averages per match.
But hey, I worry how it will be butchered as the Nova and Summoner are tied for my fave Clan Mechs.
