..but it's is kinda amusing to see people get worked up over it. :-) Besides, if OP had calmed and taken advantage of the opportunity instead of flipping his lid he might have been able to get clarification or more information.

I was pretty sure aniviron had posted a video with spider hitboxes and SRMs. I'm sure it's lost in the MWO archives.

...and the game has been 'patched' since that video was made... and to date, I have been unable to repliacte it with lasers, mg's or AC/20

I prefer playing light mechs, I have far better stats in my heavies and assaults though despite them being better Elo. Easymode is easymode. I chose not to play it

OK, let me rephrase....your claimed game experience against spiders beggars belief and diverges from the vast number of people reporting issues with spider hit detection, both on the forums, and in the game. Either you are correct, and we are all the victims of a mass delusion, or....perhaps you play MWO in an alternate universe?

I've shot enough Spiders to think there's something going on, but I dunno, they don't seem to be any harder to hit. They are still hard to kill, but I dunno... lasers seem to be the most effective option on it and most likely HSR is really wonky on projectiles.

I did one-shot the backside torso of a Spider to kill it recently, so it's probably HSR/hitbox related one way or another.

It is very well documented that almost everybody is the victim of delusions a large amount of the time, especially in situations like this. This is increased in crowds of people claiming things...vicious cycle?

Or it's that "hitting" a Spider just isn't necessarily "damaging" a Spider. As shown by multiple videos. Something is quite plainly broken.
