Damn good fun can be had piloting a streaking fast mech armed with very little, and toting even less armour, backstabbing anything you can and avoiding being one-shotted by everything! ... If that doesnt sound like your thing then dont climb in that cramped little cockpit...

It's always fun to drop a strike in the middle of a big blob of mechs and pick up a kill just for that.
But again, always be moving, don't stop unless you are absolutely sure there is no one that can see you and even then don't stop. Speed is your life in this mech, as soon as you stop you lose your life.
It's a challenging mech, no doubt, but it can be quite fun!

The Locust isn't faster than the spider, or the commando. It doesn't have jump jets. It doesn't have ECM. There is nothing that the Locust can do that any other light mech can do better. The other lights are faster, carry more firepower and have other perks (like ECM).

This is exactly my point, when I first saw it with a 190 engine in it and saw the 153KMH next to it, I thought WOW. But then I read that the spider and commando can now match it too, so it doesn't have speed on either. It certainly does need something unique to it, for such a small mech, its wwaaaayyyy too easy to hit. In all honesty I don't see why I would use this mech ever again after mastering it.

I agree completely. I thought when this mech was coming out it was going to be the fastest mech... but when they upgraded the other lights, I was rather shocked. The locust might be "fun" but for serious play it doesn't have a place on the battlefield.

lol
I got many screenshots already ranging from 400-545 damage.
It's great fun.
The 3M is my favorite so far. Those 2 AMS are just too fun to give up.

Heh, running the 3M and 3S with pretty much no upgrades so I can sell them later. The 3S is interesting but I am not really a fan of light mechs. Of course I'll master out the 1V(P) because I have to keep that one. That one I bought an XL190 for.
