I've enjoyed every single person's drawing.

For years I was the only guy I knew that liked battletech and doodled with it here and there. It got me through bootcamp imagining mechs coming out of the woods on boring marches... Now seeing everyone that also sits somewhere drawing battlemechs really gives me a fuzzy feeling inside.

Love this contest regardless of potential prizes.

I wish there could be something like multiple choice from 1 to 10 for different parts of all the entries.
a single like is saying so less
Like arms 5 of 10,
legs 7 of 10,
cockpit 10 of 10
overall impression 9 of 10.
But i guess thats not possible? :S

I appreciate the kind words everyone, I kind of like that the nubs on my legs are getting the most criticism for my submission because they are the design element that is probably the least realistic. I can both understand and agree with getting rid of them.

Its a little too late now though, the email is sent, but it's been a great learning process.

I just used photoshop, but i did some quick orthographics from the rough designs on paper to nail the proportions. Actually there was a whole series of rough designs prior to this image to get a design I was happy with and fine tune it.

Yes.....yes I really like it.

Only thing I maybe dont like (dont like is too strong a word really as I still like the feet......... ) about it is the bottom of the feet.....I think maybe they should have been longer....as in come infront of the shin more, like 2 claw like toes.

oh yes. i do not like cockpit glass of my submission. =) and guess it would be a main point of disapproval for everyone. hope that everythings else ok.

Incorrect, the Japanese courts ruled that Tatsunoko holds the rights to the animation itself while Studio Nue and Big West hold the rights to all of the character and vehicle designs for Macross and Southern Cross.

too small torso, arms cannot yaw.
the thing above - is not a cannon =)
