The best interface is intuitive interface. PGIs UI 2.0 is a mess.
Sorry, PGI, 3/10 from me.

I'm going to watch the video a few more times to get over the WOW factor and start picking it apart.

New map looks pretty good. We'll see how it plays.

UI2 looks awesome and like a real help to new players wanting to kit out their mechs. Watching the feed I can see the amount of work that has gone into this. Good job chaps, keep it coming.
The moon map looks great. Its a real salute to Classic Sci Fi. I see influences of Star Wars and 2001. I cant wait to breath in the (Lack) of atmosphere on this one, really different and once again your art department should pat themselves on their collective backs.
My only gripe/suggestion would be to include environmental (read Vacuum) effects on it. Both for sound (you can only hear your own mech) and maybe gravity and decompression effects. Heres hoping. Either way seriously stoked about this, MWO is coming of age.

As for the classic Starwars style death star map-
Now we know why the Locust arms make it look like a Tie Fighter.

Moon base looks interesting though, I wonder if the gravity will affect JJ performance. BTW I'm not really familiar with BT lore but are we now fighting for oil rigs around an HPG now? Does that make any sense?

It's a hyperpulse generator, not a factory (basically a sci-fi communications array). But yeah, the design seems weird. All that stuff on the outside that you walk over seems like it should be flat, protective plates to protect the systems underneath, but the amount of detail makes it look like you're just marching 100 tons of mech across delicate, breakable stuff. Makes more sense on the walls / ceilings, but the floor? Where things walk / drive across?
I was thinking the same thing! It looks amazing, but the whole area seems as if it was made with only mechs in mind. Pedestrian traffic looks like it will require not only a space suit, but a whole swag of mountain climbing equipment just to walk across the floor! And vehicles? It would be like driving on a high-carbon-steel motocross track.... which I actually endorse.

I don't think MWO is going to deal with gravity. Other wise JJs would be a near must have on the Death Star map.
