Listen. I am all for balance. I just went one on one with a spider. Me: BattleMaster with LLAS, 6 meds, 3 MGs. He won. Think, one large one med. He posts 770 Damage! Me:300. I know I scored more hits and maintained damage. THESE NEED TO BE LOOKED AT. If I have more weapons and can keep them on target. Which I did. Never mind just losing that is fine at times. BUT how does a spider post 2 to 3x the damage? Come on. Also. Any light going against the spider may as well just power down and save the pain. My locusts just get double legged in mere seconds vs these guys and all others at the moment. Seriously. Enough already.

I have no troubles killing spiders, or any other lights for that matter. Maybe you need to take a look at your aim or internet connection? That's the only possible explanation here.

There will always be trolls. Hundreds of posts, thousands of people agree. Now I can kill them too but there is a reason why the are almost always the last mech alive on the battle field. They dont take alot of damage. Most of the time you have to leg them before you can actually kill them.

This is correct, don't waste time on anything besides their legs, as a Jenner pilot I run around legging lights, I don't even bother with them after they lose a leg, I let the team get the kill unless I am the only one around. It's satisfying enough once the leg pops because you know the pilot is bracing for the alphas that are about to come, It's especially satisfying when you do it to Spiders.

You're using lasers and machine guns. These are absolutely terrible for killing lights.

Think of it as ***** shooting. Better yet, make friends with a Kintaro running BAP and 5 SSRM. ~edit~ that asterisked word was the sport of shooting flying clay targets. Interesting language filter here.

Lasers are still fine for killing lights as long as you only target the legs, but ballistics/streaks are much better.

I just find pin-point damage to be much better, because while you can't always pick the spot you want to hit on a light, 30 damage to a single location is likely to remove the location entirely. And yes, I do like to aim low :)

S!

Just shot a Spider worth 36 damage straight in the face as he was moving point blank range in front of me backwards. He did not even flinch! FFS! Did not even bother to evade as he knew he would kill my Thunderbolt faster than I could him. Very close to **** this POS called MWO. Good, got that out of my system..

no wonder - you had the worst weapons for spider killing possible. you need instant damage guns like ac/20, PPC, or SSRM. lasers are almost completely worthless for killing spiders unless you have really good tracking aim.

Next time shoot a leg instead of his face and you won't have to rage on the forums. Spider's CT can be very hard to hit even when they are stationary, but the legs are quite easy to hit if the mech is stationary and facing you.

Yes yes. Big ballistics are better. Yes I was aiming exclusively for the legs. Point is. We were both 100% at the start. We danced around each other for almost 2 maybe 3 minutes. I had MORE weapons. Positve aim. Worked on him hard with reversing and shooting the lower areas. I have much experience in tanging with the lights. I am telling you directly. Had it been ANY other light mech I would not have not gone down. I finally popped a leg and then was ct'ed. He posted much higher damage and I have exponentially more firepower. I am not saying f this and nerf that and I should have come out unscathed. Seriously needs a look at. The best suggestion I have found is maybe troll a pgi drop like when they did with Dragonbowling ™ and show them directly a fix needs to be made.

Your aim's not as good as you think it is.

the only people defending the spider , are spider pilots who are exploiting the mech .

i have found that a couple large lasers and an lb10x work wonders against light mechs.
