Would be interesting if they let us upload our own .png images for unit insignia's, but it would sadly be abused :/

They could have pre-set renders and such that players could play with and layer like in a few other MMO's and games.

Well, the problem with that is how limited you are. The devs can only make so many of them, and not every merc company is going to have a unique insignia or one that reflects their company.

True but it is an option, maybe not the best but it could give some players a bit more freedom if they decide to do that (other then just stock photos)

Here's a question since we don't have any new info yet.

Do you think that the Faction players will be able to create new units (groups) for their Faction if the House regiments are locked?

For example, your pre-made Merc group Ulric's Urbanmechs for whatever reason decides as a group that the Faction route suits your play style better and you all want to fight for House Marik. Would a player or players create the group as a House Marik unit and still be able to use their paint schemes/insignia to keep their identity? Or would they be stuck as an existing unit like the Atrean Hussars or even just generic FWL Military?

It isn't a MWO question, but we found out that Randall Bills is working on another Mechwarrior game due out next year as well. Thoughts?

We actually mentioned this last cast, the MW:TC though only shortly since it was the same day that it went live so not much was up besides two or three wallpaper backgrounds. Since then we got 2 more mechs announced for TC.
