I would simply skip to the Quickdraw-5K... it does the same thing if not better and doesn't have the Catapult's squishy profile.

6ML with a 350xl seems the way to go:
JESTER

Hope to see some camo shots with alternate colors, though...

Been running 350XL and 6 MPLAS. It's actually very effective due to speed and decent resiliency.

As far as I'm concerned, MWO went full pay2win today. This is hands down the best catapult loadout in the game. (though you could shave some leg armor and get a STD280 instead) Combined with the 30% CB bonus, this thing was built from the ground up for solo pub farming.

lol...
you can't "farm" with lasers, you need punch to do that, that means some kind of big ballistic or srm and hitreg luck. and on top of that, you can do that loadout with a quickdraw too.

lol the best Catapult loadout with 0 ballistics?
I've seen two today in two matches. They were cored instantly. As long as they have the giant ct with the centered head hitbox they will always be one of the worst mechs in the game.

i've taken to running a modified lancelot

2 ER large lasers
1 ER ppc
3 smalls
340 XL
17 DHS
2 AMS (x1 ton)
x2 jumpers

Quickdraw's are the awesome's of heavy mechs. No one should ever use one.

also, assists give more money than kills, and you have a 38 dmg alpha for 3 shots, followed by near-indefinite 20 dmg ML shots, with no reliance on ammo. Seems like plenty of punch to me.

Why do that when it works fine with a couple of LL on the arms with the same engine, 18 dhs and double ams with 2jj? You'd be mental to settle for 6ML...

Edit: I do admit that the wreckage of your destroyed mech would be cool with that build though.

Sad thing is you can do the same thing with Jenner F and live longer (though 6 spl is my flavor). With the CT on a Cat the way it is, no way Id try to run it as a med/short range mech. "Just my opinion"

the way it is right now the jester is just a firebrand with jumpjets instead of ballistic hardpoints. if 2 of the hardpoints werent ct locked i think this thing couldve been fun. otherwise i already own a firebrand so nty

no they don't. a kill means at least one component destroyed, too.
