Most of the "I'm a clanner, Yar!" is in the "Hey, Clans, man!" threads.
Discussions about technical things usually don't say "It would be dezgra for me to spend c-bills on skill type upgrades for my pilot avatar!"
I'm sorry that you "don't get" roleplaying. Or people that had, perhaps, actual, real life experiences with their Clans that transcend this "video game" and it affected them, in a cool fun way.
You're the one trying to mix real life and the BTU. This whole forum? Its the BTU. Don't tell people how act, you don't own it. We all do. Outside the window, that's Real life, you can bully people you don't understand out there.

Just because you got some books says nothing to me.
You do not want to RP, good for you, you do not want to, but a number of players like to stay IC to a degree because THEY ENJOY IT, who are you to say otherwise?
Exactly my sentiments. If someone says "We Wolves won on Tukayyid! or according to Sourcebook xyz, Page #, the Wolves won their engagement on Tukayyid, it is the same thing just from a different perspective. If people wish to create a RP section that is all fine & dandy but nobody should feel threatened or intimidated into staying out of character if they do not want to.
It is a personal decision & as long as the forums rules are not violated (no sexist, racist or religious insults, or threats of
violence or coercing others to commit violent acts, use of obscene or personally insulting remarks) then they should be free to be in character as long as they like. I have had two such people have the nerve to tell me where to take my RP & they have been ignored since we cannot seem to agree to disagree. This is a game forum where people come for relaxation. If people are going to continue to hound you for something that is not against the rules but just annoying to them you have options.
EDIT: I just realized that one of those people is the creator of this thread. I would not have replied had I noticed this earlier, but I am not going to delete this now. technoviking & CoffiNail, glad to see you guys understand where I am coming from. As far as I am concerned, those people can kiss the business end of a PPC.
