Hard for a fish to describe the sea after all

Edit: that is not meant to mean you complain, but that you grew up surrounded by it... perhaps.

I have a wife and two girls lmao. Nope not surrounded by that or nagging at all. Not at all.... lmao.

Our group The Crows (Not to be confused with the Carion dudes) actually discourages QQ'ing. Its a game we want to have fun. Yeah people are gonna gripe its human nature but if its a constant we say something.

Dying because a teammate cored your rear torso with an alpha strike, not looking where he was shooting in 4x zoom, and a random spider runs by and kills you with a laser hit.

Dying because a teammate is directly behind you, stuck on your back at full throttle, blocking you from backing up out of the way of incoming fire. This one is extra-fun in Tourmaline, because most of the traversible slopes have built-up sides that prevent you from turning and going around the human roadblock.

Having your whole lance obliterated because the other 8 people on the team, rather than engaging the enemy's flank, decided it was best to wait and see what happens when the whole enemy team starts barreling down the back road on Crimson Strait. (Last time this happened, and there have been many, the other two lances followed up after we'd all died and ran into the enemy force one at a time, because that was so helpful.)

Finding yourself alone with no support because your team brilliantly decided to set up a firing line on the wrong side of hill cover. Or because everyone in your section climbed to the top of a ridge, alpha'd until they shut down, and then got blown off the top of the hill by return fire.

Spending an entire match in an LRM mech, unable to fire because no one will lock targets, despite asking people to spot, despite the other team not having any ECM.

There are plenty of reasons to be frustrated with pug teams in this game. I'm not even what I'd consider to be a "good" player, but at least I know what the hell I'm doing most of the time, and sometimes the displays of sheer ineptitude I have to watch in spectator mode make me want to ragequit.

Of course, I also occasionally see someone try to play army-of-one and run headlong into the enemy, then call the rest of us cowards for not following suit after the inevitable happens.

I wouldn't play with my team then. Totally unscripted ac/20 to my hunchies back played with a orange open rear torso the rest of the game got two kills and 567 damage (we lost though) but here. Yeah we're a goofy lot. Turn it up you might get the humor. Oh yeah and thats my 38 year old voice. I sound like a kid lmao:

^This right here. Tag your own stuff. No seriously. People should hit R so they and others can determine a mechs weak points and position if possible. Missle Boats are welfare mechs imo. They depend on others to do the work for them You get more missle hits with LOS. Me having to sit and hold TAG so you can get "some" of your missles over a hill is pointless. Yeah sometimes the boaters win but rarely.

I pilot the "Green Meanie" if you ever see that mech there's a chance your mech will get hurt. Why? Well I don't rely on my team to use MY Catapult with 2 Lerm 15s, 3 Med Lasers, Tag and Jump Jets It's self sufficent all mechs should be to a point. Sure its great support but I don't ever want to handicap my team with 8 lerm 5's. It's selfish and generally stupid unless you have a mech or two guarding your booty (usually they don't want to and its just not worth it). People think LRM's should be used like artillery. It quite the opposite LOS causes more damage and artemis is only effective with LOS. My rule of thumb is never rely on one weapons system alone.

Speaking for the pre-mades, we're usually the ones laughing at the ubah-PUG who THINKS they know what's going on, takes command, gives dumb orders then rushes in to die.

And their subsequent nerdrage.

Quite frequently of late I noticed this.
Mainly on the River City map.
I'll play base defense in my Stalker and announce this to my team.
No response from anyone.
No I'll help you.
No good luck bro's.
No anything.
Of course I can see half the op-for heading straight toward our base for a base rush.
"Hey guys incoming base rush gonna need some help."
Then I can sit there in the space of a few minutes I can see the kill count going up.
As my team gets slaughtered.
Again no response.
To make a long story short.
1 burning Stalker.
1 pissed off pilot - me.
8 or 9 dead team mates 3 minutes into the battle.
Soooo the question is whose to blame here?
Me for being stooopid thinking I can hold the base?
Or my new demographic team mates who do the lemming march and get slaughtered one by one.
Because they refused to listen to any advice.

every time someone complains about how much their teams suck, this is the first image that comes to my mind...

http://www.despair.c...ysfunction.html

sadly, I use the very same reminder when I've had a bad night and I've lost on 8 matches out of 9, and I begin to wonder...can it really be *me* EVERY TIME?? that causes my team to fail? Can I really be *that* bad ALL THE TIME?...

then, I log in the next night and win 8 out of 10 matches...and I just chalk it all up to not enough structure to the game, and remind myself why I don't pay money for MWO.

+1

You forgot poptarts, OP weapons, lights, spiders, Acs, LRMs, SRMs, SSRMs, capping, matchmaking, elo, map, and a few others though. Just look through the forums some time. Maybe I'll start a "Why the reason you lose" thread lol

I don't blame others, but sometimes I wish I was DoomGuy to carry the match.

The last couple weeks I have been noticing a lot of "My team sucks, You Guys Suck, Learn to Play" etc., etc.

Truth hurts doesn't it?
MWO player base was full of bad players to begin with.
Now that many of us have left (Haven't played since Aug 2013) you are stuck with the gold shills and nubs.
So many shills said "if the game is so bad leave"
Well now you have your wish, A game with more bad players and less playerbase.
Enjoy your game you wanted.

I however am enjoying my new game mode even if I typically don't prefer PvE.

Did they add a new game mode to MWO yet or is it still Assault and "Assault with extra cap points"?

This is just an online manifestation of our lovely blameless society where so very few people take ownership for the actions or inactions.

It's always someone else's fault... <_<

Not trying to troll or anything, but did anyone else laugh immensely at reading this? Someone else's fault, indeed.

This is the reason I stopped playing LOL. I don't think I'd get into it again without a full team. (Though of note - LOL - unlike MWO - is a game where one bad player on your team ruins your chances at victory. That's the other reason I stopped playing. :D)

I get a fair number of people who complain after dying that PGI has made it to hard, even after they grouped up with friends:
But it is usually quite obvious that those are the people who pretend they are the Doomguy mentioned above :D

And yes: when three guys all in the same colors, using the same mechs, and the same bad tactics start to complain, I have little trouble believing they were part of a premade

/end_whisper
On the other hand I get a lot of that from people who may simply be whining for whining's sake

"My team sucks, You Guys Suck, Learn to Play"

There are a lot of bads out there.

When nearly all the people on your team die with under 200 damage besides you and 2 other people all at double and triple their contribution. Seems legit.
