It would have to be "new" to be considered, you know, new. Blaming others is a tradition dating as far back as humans had a finger to point.

That said, sometimes you do end up on terrible teams who ignore any advice because they know better even while being rolled over 12 to nil. Stupidity isn't a rarity, sadly.

In astronomical terms, it's definitely a recent development.
In historical terms... Been around for a while.

In a last Assault match I've killed 5ppl and done almost 700dmg on my Firebrand, while one of the Victors in our team have done 1020dmg (I really want to make this achieve by myself, my own best result is somewhere near 920), but we still have lost with 3 mechs on other team left. So. Win/loss doesn't depend only on your personal performance, if you're performing well and your team still loses, then something wrong with the team, not with you. And... You just can't constantly join bad teams, if the matchmaking system doesn't force you to do it.

I would like to apologize to some erstwhile teammates for my or my groups terribad performance.

I, and some select friends, have been known to get into drops while stupidly, epically inebriated.

It is entirely likely we brought about our sides failure. Especially if Operation Jonestown has ever been enacted.

That was a crazy match...

Bad Teams don't always happen, and that 12 man wasn't an example of bad teams, it was just heck of a fun round. <S>

The first Pic I put up was an example of a bad team, even when you communicate while pugging, you can watch your team fold like a cheap napkin.. It happens often enough to make people feel cheated by the MM i think.

The reasons for a team getting worked are many, but when you are the last man standing in a wrecked Mech with 3 times the damage of anyone else on your team, then you get dropped, you start to wonder if the cosmos isn't against you.. LOL

Truth hurts doesn't it?
MWO player base was full of bad players to begin with.
Now that many of us have left (Haven't played since Aug 2013) you are stuck with the gold shills and nubs.
So many shills said "if the game is so bad leave"
Well now you have your wish, A game with more bad players and less playerbase.
Enjoy your game you wanted.

I however am enjoying my new game mode even if I typically don't prefer PvE.

Did they add a new game mode to MWO yet or is it still Assault and "Assault with extra cap points"?

I love it when people who claim to have quit continue to post vitrol on the forums. They have an "I didn't enjoy playing MWO, so there's no way anybody else can!!!" attitude. It's like they want some sort of credit for quitting a game. I bet this person also posted one of those ever-entertaining "I'm quitting MWO" posts on the forum that literally nobody cares about. If these people actually thought for themselves instead of being a lemming and believing what the forum whiners and naysayers in their ubercool group of e-friends say, then they'd realize that this game is actually really fun and worth playing.

Please do us all a favor and REALLY quit as your negativity can only hurt the game for the majority of us that actually do enjoy this game. There are new players that are also lemmings like you the will listen to posts such as yours and never try the game for themselves to form their own opinions.

A lot of the times I will run the back field and type ways to move (Mostly due to map method being less than helpful). If people react to the ideas I will continue if not then I join the fray. Yeah I've cost us a few matches, but we have won so many more. When people type in chat they fail to call out grids and thats the biggest mistake I think. Shift left doesn't tell you spit. Shift to E6 then spread out to e7 will give you a lot more detail. Also focus ecm f7 helps alot. Takes to much to type what mech it is but when you see it you get the drift.

There are legitimately people who have sound tactical and piloting skills who lose as a result of their team doing something profoundly stupid. In fact, I'd say this happens a lot. The average person knows exactly jack about sound tactics. That said, if you're one of the first ones to die and/or if you don't have any impressive numbers yourself, it's better to just keep quiet about it because there's absolutely zero that you're going to be able to say to prove to anyone that you're not just another ***** without a clue who just happens to be a sore loser to boot. It's also reasonable to believe that most losses involve something which even a skilled player could have done better.

Wow, If I have that type of mind control I must be godlike.
Really have to be careful with that type of power.

If they want to play it for themselves they are free to do it.
Also answer to my question appears to be NOPE.
No new game modes. http://mwomercs.com/game/modes
Why would they not list Assault?

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

Blaming others isn't the new meta.

Blaming "Evil Premades" is the old meta, just rehashed as new by the underhive.

Enjoy.

I've started to only really play when my wife does now. I can't be bothered to work up the basics in a new mech when i'm getting around 100XP because my whole team are slaughtered in minutes.

I can usually predict how a match will turn out now.
Either a close win for my team (rare) or a complete whitewash.
If i'm in a light i'm killed by an AC20. In anything bigger it's either getting stomped by the other team because i'm one of the last on my team, or it's a pack of lights that rip me to pieces.

It's so boring now :P

"Yeah, I'm sorry we didn't all follow you on your Leroy Jenkin'sesque suicide run into Mt. Doom, I figured we'd try tactics and see where that took us, Enjoy the view from the backseat, Corky"

LOL classic. I've been thinking about changing my signature... If I do can I use this quote?

Any losing team you're on, whatever your ELO (whatever that means) you will always find things the 11 other guys did wrong. Maybe its bad tactics, maybe it was poor execution (face it, you can engineer a plan that would make Hannibal weep, but if your crew can't hit anything you're still ****'ed!) Pointing that out may make you feel better, but it won't make you a better mechwarrior.

I know every time my team loses, I can find a few things that I did wrong, or at least could have done better. If more people would take that approach (and, of course, quit being jerks over a computer game) instead of chalking it up to everyone else's fault, I think there'd be a lot of much better players out there.

This is why I strongly support "cleaning house" in this game, rl... just about everywhere.

By that I mean: When people quit, publicly state it, and then proceed to be nothing but disruptive and negative.

Logically, since they quit and are "never coming back", they should not feel the least bit of pain at trying to log in and finding out that they have been banned, deactivated, or deleted. Deactivation being the "safest" route for the devs, banning my preference, and deletion probably the golden middle...

After all, it IS free to play, and nowhere in the EULA or ToS are you guaranteed lifetime access regardless of your actions :)
