The artwork only has to be 20% different from the original artwork for it to be considered legally a different image. As the others stated though this one catches the essence of the Marauder while making enough cosmetic changes to give it a distinctiveness of its own. Well done!
The Cataphract technically get's its legs from the Marauder so it fits
really?, that Cataphract gets its legs from the marauder? I didn't know that, so the cataphract is the real thief here!
Edit: ......... ah, just looked it up at sarna.net, its says,
"Unable to build anything bigger than a Vindicator and desperate for a heavy 'Mech, the Capellans designed the Cataphract from spare parts they could still manufacture. Using components from the Marauder, Shadow Hawk and Phoenix Hawk, they were able to field prototypes which were functional, if not aesthetically pleasing, and more importantly reproducible."
So I guess that explains it. Not only that, but the marauder was manufactured in 2819, long before the Cataphract. Much love this, maybe we'll get a chance still yet to see
this marauder in MWO.
