BAH!!!!!

Just another mech sale with no real game improvements

pathetic sry to say....................

im trying to be positive about this game given the time and money i have spent on it, and im sure im not the only one that feels this.

Please stop selling mech's with just about every patch and concentrate resources in getting things right within the game, the community have highlighted quite alot of things that need to be addressed and fixed.

I really hope there is something really special in the pipeline and that CWF doesnt flop otherwise there are going to be alot of people getting really annoyed especially those who are hanging around just for CWF.

Hope it works out for everyone's sake

Sweet - not the biggest patch ever, but I like it.

Deja vu. And here I was hoping last patch was lackluster to make this patch more of a content drop. 2 more 'mechs for money, module changes, and screen shake. Yay!

Exactly. I wrote something to this effect a few pages back now about how we absolutely need new CONTENT, not just mechs and slight nerfs/buffs here and there.

(I don't know much about console plebs... are console/PC compartible servers possible or will they be possible in near future?)...

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe I heard the new version of *cough* CoD released today is supposed to support cross-platform play.

Good job guys!
  • Love the Jester and its paint job
  • Love the UAV bonuses
  • Love the new screenshake, more immersive now!
No idea why you removed the Fire Selected Weapon Group bind though. I get that it's confusing for new players, but why remove it completely from the game instead of just binding Mouse 1 to Weapon Group 1?

I have no use for the previous default config, but I know I could see other people using it. I personally map mouse 1 to fire group 1, but removing it altogether is a bit much. Changing the default would be fine... but not removing the option altogether.

Patch notes aside, anyone suddenly getting tons of artifact errors? I see them through by advanced zooms, and my buddies have complete texture render fails all over the place. Anyone else?

lmfao. Keep thinking that bro. And I wouldn't care because I'm not Inner Sphere. Never have been, and never will be. I'm just here farming CBills by killing you freebirths with your own tech. Keep thinking they're going to nerf it into the ground. There's nothing they can really do. What's the point of working on clan tech and items as they've said before that they're doing NOW, if they're going to make them worse than IS tech? They might as well save development time and only make the mechs and not touch weapons at all. I'll tell you this: Not gonna ******* happen bro.

The only one crying will be you. And the only one requiring a new L2P experience will be you on how to deal with someone in superior tech.

I see a lot of contractions in there so I will assume you are either a rejected dezgra busted down to scrub or just a clanner wanna-be who uses the tech because its op but refuses to observe any clan codes. Min Max cheese much?

(Thumbs up for good trash talk, btw)

Without looking it up, unlikely. Every time they've tested cross-platform on an FPS, the console players get destroyed (mouse is faster and more accurate). The one game I know of that still tried it (Shadowrun), had huge cones of fire for everyone so accuracy didn't matter.

Other types of games, sure, cross-platform could work.

How is having a module cheating? Let me guess, you watch Fox News and believe what they are selling you.

They didn't remove anything, they just changed the default, which makes it more new player friendly. Go into your options and change it back to the way you prefer it.

No, you are wrong. They removed it, and you cant change **** back.

I wouldn't be pissed at all right now if they had done the sensible thing and just changed the default, but of course, they ******* didn't do the sensible thing. They ******* removed a powerful feature to replace it with something more new player friendly, and they didnt give the option to change it back.

Removing powerful features and replacing them with weaker ones is total fail. I am pissed.

How bout some perspective here before you throw whiner around. A lot of these people (me included) were 'impressed with the game to date' over a year ago. Unfortunately they are playing basically the EXACT same game. The 'to date' has worn off.

S
I agree that it would be disappointing to be missing a lot of the promised features (CW, etc....).... However, some of the quotes are for "refunds on c-bills and gxp" due to the seismic nerfs. This is a dynamic game and as new content is added, some things go away. I played World of Warcraft for 3 years and every few months; all my equipment would become obsolete. That's online gaming and to be honest, I'm not sure if this server will even be here in a decade .... see matrix online....

My only gripe about the seismic nerf is that the game meta is already horrendous with regard to spotting and revealing tactical information on the map. You can waiting to ambush an enemy, peeking around corners, trying to hide, etc... and the next second you are surrounded by a lance of assault mechs that didn't light until they were 100 M from you. It's terrible.

The best tool available to counter the games iron fisted Stealth domination is the seismic module, and now they gimp it significantly which makes the already overpowered ECM even more powerful.

If you nerf one, nerf both.

It's like the coders hate it when people find tactical data on their HUD.

On another note, let me say that I'm pleased at the time spent upgrading the Catapult's geometry to the level of the other machines in the game. Finally having correct Autocannon barrels is nice. However, you guys also added a significant number of 'add on' missile tubes to mechs like the CPLT-A1 when mounting multiple missile systems. These have the effect of making the A1's arms significantly larger. Was the 'mech not vulnerable enough already with only missile hardpoints grouped in each arm? You had to make the arms larger targets when actually in use? I can't fit 18 missile tubes under the armored cover on an A1?

Please give me back the option to bind to fire selected weapon group- instead of simple group management i now have to try and use the mouse buttons that shall not speak their name
While we are about it allowing me to bind the mouse scroll wheel to select weapon groups would be lovely.
I put up with having to fudge weapon changes after years of fps gaming and getting used to certain set ups but losing fire selected weapon group with no option is a real bind.
I'm a big boy and i should be allowed some leeway in my key bindings- i really dont want to have to use the console to adjust game settings -im no longer playing counterstrike and it isnt 2001.

Yep still the same game as a year ago,
and with each patch we'll get a mech and some bug fixes, and once in awhile a new map.

Alas, the only thing you can do after patch day, is to wait for the next patch day, and play some mech battles to spend your time,
and that is fine because it is still F2P and apparently the playerbase and cashflow is big enough to sustain this game for a longer time which you cannot say about a lot of other online games.

But that being said, My Leopard class dropship is ready to drop for a couple of matches :o
