LOL, I'm there EVERY night... well, not so much now, since I'm so gimped by the change that playing isn't fun. Just ran my 4 favorite mechs through Training Grounds... basically useless, as they're built now.

Suppose I might as well join the Meta-humping-alpha-strike-king-of-all-derp crowd... what's that one button Centurion build every "competitive" player runs?

Is there a complete list of changes anywhere?
All the Catapults have been revisited and my beloved Catapult C4 got nerfed, but this is not mentioned anywhere. It appears that the maximum amount of missiles per salve has been reduced to 40, whereas it was 80 before. In return the maximum amount of missiles has been been increased to 40 (or above) on the Catapult C1.

Any details on this? <_<

You do realize that would be an even greater nerf to lights? Lets just lock the Seismic module up in the attic and pretend it was never born. If you want you can feed it some table scraps through the vent.

Side note: What is PGI's infatuation with screen shake?

i love screen shake. it adds immersion. <_<

I would recommend that anyone who disagrees with the removal of the Fire Selected Weapon Group function go down to the Patch Feedback section of the forums to tell the Devs what you think. Posting in this thread is more for discussion the patch notes amongst ourselves, but if you want to direct your feedback tot he developers, then the Patch Feedback section is the place to go.

Many, many people are angry about the removal of this option, and flooding the Patch Feedback section is the best way to get the word out about it.

Really, 2E in CT? Disappointed. Might as well take a Firebrand. You are trading 2B +2 none crit limited E for JJs and slightly bigger engine.

And yeah 2 AMS.

At least seismic is nearly dead.

umm you do understand every mech only has 2 slots open in the CT.its been this way from the beginning only time it changed is when they have compact engines but thats way off in the future of the time line.

[/list]Hurrah! This needs to happen for more chassis, imho. Release chassis visual match patches every patch! MOAR!

Be careful what you wish for. Most of these aren't what I'd consider improvements.

Jester is DOA, anything that is all energy and not a light mech is crippled by ghost heat.

Ghost heat doesnt affect you if you dont fire more than 2 large lasers or 6 mediums all at the same time. Looks like a fun build.

Right, you heard the man, torches and pitchforks have been approved, and are to meet up in Patch Feedback!

PS to Park - Oh, and I will put this in meme form later as soon as I find a suitable image from Young Frankenstien. <_<

So many complaints. <_< I seriously think some people complain just for the sake of it.
You knew parts of the game were going to change. Get over it. Adapt and overcome.
Still feel like having a hissy-fit? Then don't play the game. The rest of us won't miss you.

As always, such a terrible mindset to have. You are asking people to leave the game merely because you don't agree with their criticism. Keep on that train of thought and you'll be playing with the same extremely small group of people too stubborn to leave for higher quality games until the servers finally shut down from lack of income. Posts like yours on these forums always remind me of the owners of the restaurant in this show, actively chasing off customers that are critical of a product.

Very minor screenshake is okay for immersion, any more than that only adds annoyance, and annoyance does not help promote and sell a game.

Who in their right minds ever expected the Seismic Sensor Module to work while you were moving in the first place?!
Seriously, if you have a vibration sensor in your Mech's feet, then why would you expect it to function while you are walking? Every time you take a step, you'd completely saturate your sensor, and in between steps you wouldn't have the two feet on the ground needed to make stereo measurements of other Mechs's positions. The fact that it worked while you were moving was ridiculous, and nobody should be in the least bit surprised that it no longer works when you're moving.

Eh, that's not true at all even if you just base the functionality of it off currently available technology. You could easily have multiple sensors mounted in spaced locations on each foot and they would be able to detect seismic vibrations as long as at least one of the mech's feet were on the ground. They are also able to easily filter a variety of parameters in any way you want to so that you don't get readings from your own movement, or any other target you know the values for. Sonic sensors could also be used to collect the same basic information and not even need to have any contact with the ground, especially since the battles are at such close ranges, as long as they don't implement maps that are in a vacuum like they had in Mechwarrior 2: Ghost Bear Legacy. That's all irrelevant though, as Battletechnology is mostly not true to physics and reality. I think that fact just ends up a little more noticeable in the Mechwarrior video game titles than the board game.

We can all agree it would be nice to have more content, I'm sure it'll be here sooner, rather than later.

However to all y'all taking up torches and pitch forks over the seismic sensor changes, I give a heartfelt thank you. I haven't had a laugh this good in far too long. Your tears are delicious to all, I'm sure.

Seriously guys, its nickname was "wallhack." You had to see this coming.

Who cares about seismic?
Torches an pitchforks are for the completely illogical removal of firing selected weapons group keybind.

Seismic is working as intended. (and I mean that without the snark that sentence usually carries)

Do people realise that yes they removed the key bind, but you can still push keys 5, 6 ,3 etc and it'll fire your weapon group. honestly it's not that big a deal. sheeesh you'd think they changed it so you could only fire after clicking an electronic dice and rolling a 2/4/6 to fire!

#1. You going to increase the range for Seismic now that you hammered its Mobile Use?

#2. STOP remaping our keys for us please. Just make stuff Optional and then tell us we can Change it if we want to, not FORCE us to go back and Fix something YOU wanted to tweek for us <_<

They already nerfed the range. Doubt they will give that joy back.
