/politely asking for a model rollback.

Whilst R&D has a rethink about this debauchery.

I consider this change similar to burning a painting. Just give me the old cat back. I couldn't care less about your new 'artistic vision,' budget cuts, new interns, or whatever led to this terrible decision.

Before we go the rout of strap ons and bigger boxes, how about we stuff weapons back in to their shielded weapon bays.. that were made to house and shield weaponry?

^Someone pass that on the the geometry guy, unless you added a toilet, everyone is pooping in the closet.

How about one of these two versions? Sure you can't really see the change in mechlab or in-game, but at least it doesn't look like something from Scrapheap Challenge: Mechwarrior Edition.

Try this for better quality tho.

Version 1. Kind of a modular layout thingy for all of them. Simple enough but not that great of a looker. Having different modules for each Variant may require a bit of work and more models to be loaded in game.

Version 2. Looks better and is the same for C4 and A1. C1 would use whatever it uses now.
The side pods are only used by the A1 and can only load max an LRM-10 or SRM-6. Top and bottom can load LRM-15

What ****** me off is that my founder catapult has a pair of LRM15s and now I have to deal with boxes meant for LRM20's?

What the hell? My face's red from the facepalm now.

I like Funky Bacon's idea, however. Doooo eeeeeeeet!

If it were just LOOKS it'd be easier to ignore. Bigger = easier to hit, too. And in the case of the C1, at least, there wasn't anything wrong with it.

It's not merely an aesthetic decision here. :)

That reply is a bunch of poo.

In fact, that is a suitable modification for his paint artist simile. It's not that we're suggesting a different shade of blue, we're suggesting a shade of blue in place of painting with lumpy poo.

Seriously, how does this {Scrap} get vetted? I'm not a complainer, and have often been lumped in with the PGI butt-kisser group, but I have to say this one has me puzzled.

You made it about the art instead of the balance. I don't give a **** about whatever artistic vision they want to implement, the problem is that this is a HARD NERF to the catapult for no reason. That is unacceptable.

No change back, no money in the future from me. The LRM Catas are destroyed for me and with these tiny PPC-arms there is no chance that I buy the Jester mech.

As long as PGI makes all mechs with missile hard points have to make their launchers match their load out it'll be fair eventually.

I can't wait to see the light mechs that carry missiles have strapons that match in size the ones that they've hung on the Catapults.

who makes this game us or you guys... oh yeah we value your imput bye.

quiet simply we have to be hired by pgi in order to sway anyof this, guess they're not interested in customers, we must be the minority on seeing good mechs a year ago turning into the junkyard bots they're becoming now.

You can improve that slightly by making the 10 fit in the big box. Then the smaller 6 will be atatched to the bottom instead of the 10. It's still goof as hell imo.

should be order dependent, like getting PPCs to mount in the high torso position instead of low position on a BLR or QKD. Put the 10 on first.

order dependent? really? i was unaware of this feature, funny it must have been all my drop-mates complaining that no matter how they order 2Mll and 1 LL the get LL at the bottom that made me think it was different. If indeed PPC placement is mounting order dependent, than it should be true for all weapons mounted in a torso. Want a lrm rack on a shoulder, mount it first (or last, depending on a decided order of operations) but please for the love of stompy goodness keep it consistant.

The new catapult art is blah, if external tubes really do fire like external tubes than get rid of this bull. Please PGI, Please be consistant, e.g. mechs landing next to me cause reticule shake, but not firing the largest weapon in game has no effect. In fact no weapons cause internal cockpit shake to my knowledge, but somehow the spiffy gyro fails to keep external events from affecting my aim.

Not exactly a comparison shot, but to see how much smaller profile the Stalker has compared to the Cat is... astonishing, to say the least. Let alone the fact that those missile racks are almost bigger then the torso itself...
