This should have happened long long ago. Why is everything still duct taped together?

We still need to wait until 7 more mechs get the mechlab treatment, then maybe they try to fix it.

Well, The Raven 3L at least saw an improvement from the geometry pass. The Narc tube missile harpoint is now dynamic. It was a pain when the tube fired SRMs one at a time. Now at least all 4 can be fired from that harpoint at the same time now...plus it doesn't look dumb :).

I hope the Cat does get a pass again, it needs those missile racks improved BAD.

P.S. I think it should also get an internal structure quirk for the arms. Those pods get knocked off a bit too quick (especially when they are the A1 elephant ears).

As annoying as it could be, non dynamic missile hard points made for some interesting builds.

I think the quirk should be that they act like they have CASE so no ammo explosions from the arms to the rest of the mech.

As interesting as that is, I still feel the "ears" are too easy to blow off the mech. The Hunchback had that problem with its "hunch" (its defining feature), so I think the Catapult could use it too for its defining feature.

TBH they should have kept the LRM 15 sized racks available instead of ditching those for the 20s on all variants including the C4, and instead of tacking on boxes, have the front flat plane simply have the number of tubes equal to the what launchers that are equiped.

I am pretty sure I don't need to educate the art team on a modular system to achieve this that would work within the current framework of dynamic weapon swaping, but as a 3d artist who has worked on similar systems I would if it meant getting the lurm15 sized racks back as well as containing all the **** inside the box. The damn things are masked off from the camo specs so its not like you really have to do 20 textures over either.

My Catapults envy the Vultures so much. The geometries make some sense and look good.

Well, the Catapults still have the advantage of high-mounted instead of waist height arms...

In the current mech environment, the Catapult needs a lot of help to be usable (at least the non-K2 variants). It could use a lot of quirks.

Yep. The Cat could use some attention ... and a K2 hero.

I was so hoping the Jester was a reconfigured K2. If it had the 2 ballistics in the arms and a C1 torso, I would have bought it. They could have left the JJs off to avoid any P2W arguments, I wouldn't have cared.

Nah I could see a lot of P2W arguments about giving the Cat High-mount ballistics being unfair and directly competitive with the Jager and etc,

The k2 works god to me but not outstanding (400/600 dmg), the A1 is a really good lrm5+a boat it can manage to do 800+, the C4 is by far the worst but i have managed to make 400/500 with srms and std engine, only one 900+ with lrm 20 and A LOT of narc. The C1 has potential but its outdated by mad cats, it could use smaller launchers, including srm size ones to improve the hit boxes and be a semi brawler, also some quirks are needed.

There is a catapult with k2 shape and ac 20 one in each arm but I don't remember the name of the variant, but yea it makes conflict with the jaggers i guess.

Well guys we can only use a bit of duck tape and try to emulate some clan configuration and hope for the best. meanwhile the 5th of november it will be a year since the "fix" (remember, remember the 5th of november)

A recent adjustment to weapon mounting allows this Splatcat to have thinner earz, if you equip, in this order

the size of the Mad dog against the CPLT is very disappointing. i prey they will be returned to glory soon.

Is this a recent update? Makes it less horrible, but it doesn't really do much to fix the real problem.

I looked at my Founders Cat today, then clicked on my A1...and cried.
