Still, we need to keep showing our dedication to this by posting. PGI needs to be reminded of their mistake. Even if the Catapult never gets changed, it may prevent them from destroying the geometry of other mechs. Hopefully.

However... has the possibility been seriously considered, that perhaps PGI truly doesn't consider the CPLT "broken", and thus has no intention or desire at all to change/"fix" it?
If Russ/PGI were to answer, and that answer were to indicate such, then what?

It was a pain in those days to post in the cave too. Back then you had to sneak by a little white fluffy rabbit with "big pointy teeth". The fangs on that bunny!
Anyway, someone blew up that rabbit a long time ago.

"I first want to release the remaining few mechs that don't have the Mechlab treatment before we go back and refine"
Said russ the 29 of jun. This is the only small oficial hope we have. (refine... )
Ok they are busy, the game needs content and the catapult is at the bottom of the list. But they dont have time to show up in the forums on this 2013 thread? in the other hand they have resources for making the urbanmech meanwhile they are working in the IS pack. The urb makes money ok, but its that hard fixing the catapult? i mean making a complete mech should be more difficult than fixing half of one. at least if you are not trying to completely remake it.
We have to wait until all the mechs have the mechlab treatment but this could take a long ride, the last one was the centurion months ago, they have 2 more ready but not applied.
keep posting, keep the thread up, keep the hope alive.

*Mouse icon is hovering over the old A1 files with the old geometry and an ignored INSERT PATCH button.

PGI's response to this back when it happened compared the complaining to telling an artist to use a different shade of paint than what they chose to use. Honestly, I don't think they're that far off in saying that. At the end of the day, battlemechs designed for this game are PGI's vision of the Battletech universe and ALL of the mechs look quite different from their original artwork, in a more modernized and realistic style that looks quite good on the whole. The bigger ears made the change a nerf to the A1's durability which is why I didn't entirely care for it, but it helps split missile type builds and it really doesn't look that different or unrealistic. The A1 is still my favorite heavy and I still do quite well in it. It seems like this thread is being kept alive by the same dozen or so bitter people posting over and over.

The smell of money might be a good plan to bait PGI in this thread.
