i like the smaller inside rack, but i protest the larger shoulder rack, a needless increase = hitbox "debuff."

The hitbox "debuff" is "precisely" the purpose. (glad it got noticed)
Still smaller than a LRM 10 rack though.

partly because i'm really sick of seeing "earless" timbies when they have missiles, and partly because it will help balance.... and lastly, it looks better.
just throwing away some suggestions and opinions.

Awesome news.

My Catapult Wish List:

CPLT-C1s should revert to old style C1 15-tube missile boxes with doors. Any missile launcher under 15 tubes fits under the missile door; if upgrade to an LRM20, then it swaps the C1 boxes for the C4 style fat boxes.

CPLT-C4s retain their 20 tube fat boxes, but any combination of launchers under 20 tubes stays under the missile door. If we can adopt a 'multi-layer' approach to the box interior and accommodate loads of tubes, that'd be awesome, but more than 20 tubes could trigger add-ons if that's the only solution.

CPLT-A1s should return to the C1 15 tube box, unless more than 15 tubes are mounted; in which case they should swap to the C4 box and then finally go to add-ons if no other solution is possible.

CPLT-K2s should return to the old style big PPC barrel shrouds. Their reworked ballistics look great.

Please do NOT update any Catapult energy mounts with the horrible squares. We hates them, they burns us.

Bonus points if we can get a dynamic 'mini box' for builds smaller than 15 tubes. This could be a first step towards that dynamic/custom geometry Russ talks about. I would pay $ for this option if necessary.

Thanks for all the hard work! We've been waiting a long time for our beloved Cats to be fixed. :)

Agree except with the add ons and the pay for smaller launchers parts. i don't want any more add ons, never again.
Maybe they could apply the fat ears only for builds with 30 tubes or more, if they are not going to do more sizes. think about it and compare to other mechs they are humongously big.

We have to think which size could it have with the rescale, my vote is quite small for a heavy considering his role and performance. Maybe its going to contrast with some mechs, but man if some 55t and 60t are big, some of them are just nonsense.

Also reading some recent comentaries i whant to clarify, the old A1 and C1 had the smaller lrm15 box. Only the C4 had the bigger ones, also notice the detail on the cilindic arm piece, it was the same size in both cases.

Consistency across the board is always welcome, but i think the current tube size allows missiles to be inside the box entirely. (check LRM racks on the centurion left torso for example).

That would work for me ! (even though I do not pilot the A1 [not a fan of all ammo builds]) - it would make my C4 variant nice and pretty again.

And of course, to say once more. I want the beefy PPC barrels back for the K2. It was those huge guns that drew me to the Catapult-K2 originally.

Maybe this is a dumb question but, couldnt they just do what they do for the Madcat or the Vulture? Specifically the vulture, Most times when you add more tubes it just fills up the launcher on both sides with tubes.

Seems like a relatively easy copy/paste
