The Devastator came out in 3048, so it's a possibility. Prior to the clans most would say no way to an IS mech that runs 2 Gauss, 2 PPCs and 4 Medium lasers. Since the Dire Wolf can run the same loadout, it wouldn't break the game.
The Cerberus wasn't available until 3054, you'd have to wait for that one.
The Cestus, although being an old Star League design, is extinct until it's recreated in the mid 3050s.
The Bushwhacker won't be around until 3053.
The Falconer is also not available until 3053.
Since PGI is staying to their timeline, the only possible mech from your list is the Devastator. I think there would be some crying, especially from the clanners if that beast was made available.
Personally, I'd love to see a Pillager in game. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Pillager I've always liked the looks of it and a jumping 100 tonner would be really popular.

The Wolfhound would be very redundant with the Firestarter. The Panther variants are all far to close to each other, they're all 1 big energy weapon in the right arm and a missile system in the center torso. While both of these mechs are visually distinct and iconic for their factions, they would not bring much to the table.
The Zeus can mostly be recreated on the 9M Awesome. Still it would be nice to have something without a 2-tube restriction for the LRM15, or without Awesome hitboxes. For that matter the ZEU-6S's ability to mount a ballistic would also be nice.

Thanks for the timeline info! I'm a bit bummed that it's too early for most my picks, but it's cool that the Devastator may make it into the game! I think that would be a cool Mech and a good IS counter for the Daishi.
+1 for the info!

yeah, would be nice. They gotta fix MASC first though, that's why we don't have the flea. We also won't get the Firemoth until they fix MASC.

I do have another suggestion. Factions should be made active before the clans, are fully introduced.

When table top Battletech (the game MWO is based on) first came out they used licensed art/mechanical designs from several anime/manga sources. Several years later, Playmates started using licensed art from one of the same sources in its Exosquad toy line. A company named Harmony Gold had an exclusive license to this source, and sued Playmates. FASA (then owners of Battletech) sat back and watched. After seeing the expensive legal battle, FASA management, knowing the company was small and could not afford legal battles, stopped using all art that they had licensed. The affected mechs became known as "Unseen"
A few years later, FanPro (who had licensed the rights to Battletech from WizKids, who themselves had snapped up ownership of the game when FASA closed up shop) put out a product called Project Phoenix, which gave most of these Unseen mechs new art. These became known as "Reseen".
Not so long ago, Catalyst Game Labs (who licensed the game from WizKids after FanPro left the gaming market, and continues to hold the license after WizKids was bought out by Topps) made some sort of a deal and obtained rights to use some of the original Unseen art (designs who's art came from Crusher Joe and Fang of the Sun Dougram). The Unseen who's art was derived from the Interdimensional Fortress Macross series was not part of this deal (Harmony Gold is the big stumbling block here).

Clan Pack would have: Arctic wolf, Cauldron-Born, Kodiak, and Masakari
IS Pack would have: Dragon, Highlander, Hunchback, and Zeus
What do you think?

We already have the Dragon, Highlander, and Hunchback. We also already have the Masakari, it goes by its clan name: Warhawk.

Grasshopper, Guillotine and Black Knight have 3 variants, but unfortunately they are more or less all the same.
Exterminator is a possibility, with EXT-4D, EXT-4A and EXT-4Db but it's another 65 tonner with mediocre differences.
Champion could work with 4 variants where 3 are basically the same, but at least it looks nice and comes with all types of hardpoints
So it has to be the Lancelot, which comes with at least 3, i'd say 4 distinct variants, and given the high mounted arm weapons it might breathe life into the otherwise dead 60t segment. Unless it's as big as the Quickdraw again...
LNC25-01: mimimum of 4 energy hardpoints. Should come with higher engine cap or torse twist buffs or more energy hardpoints as LNC25-01X
LNC25-01X: Same as LNC25-01 but with JJ.
LNC25-03: High mounted arm ballistic hardpoints + energy hardpoints in CT&RT.
LNC25-05: High mounted arms 1x energy & 2x ballistic hardpoints each. RT mounted PPC.
I usually don't play Heavies, but this one might get me to play one.
