Nothing wrong w/taking all them atlai...no weight restrictions so anyone can take whatever the hell they want to the 12 queue.

Don't forget the incoming tonnage limitations :). I have a feeling that you cannot drop with 1200 tons.

Besides, I don't really see anyone playing like that in 12 premades. We tried 12 Atlas's once and we lost 12-0. Well, was not our best game, but proves the point. It is not op or anything.

I'm sorry if any one took this post personally. I'll go on the record and apologize if any feelings were hurt. I guess I should have stated this in the OP, but the purpose of this was to explain why no one actually likes watching this game or think of it as E-sport worthy. I really do like how people took such a simple post and put their own meaning to it. In the match shown in the OP it wasn't a matter of superior tactics or skill that won the match it was the team with more armor and bigger guns sitting in one spot the whole match.

What does your picture even have to do with any possible chance of this being an E-Sport game? E-Sport doesnt work with random match up games and some random team will not be in an E-Sport level of play anyways.

Lobies are said to come and are being worked on. As for a team of 12 Atlai in an E-Sport match... you really think that the E-Sport league would allow that setup where just about everything is regulated ontop of what is already regulated in a game?

Teamwork is OP, Nerf Teamwork.

Honestly the guy posting this image cannot complain, they had a lance of DDC's themselves and 3 lights that could have capped the base.

Nobody to blame but themselves.

Playerbase agrees, to much effort to work together with others.

You expect these pugs to have the cognitive ability for Human self-reflection?
I don't believe you have met the majority of MWO's player base sir.

So it happens that you came across a group having some fun. Not like it effects anything except the 10 minutes you had to spend in the match. To use this as an example as to why MWO will never be an eSport is quite unfair. I mean show me the leaderboards where your elite standing was hurt. If you look into an actual league like http://www.runhotordie.com you will see these types of teams are nonexistant in actual tournament play where it matters. You are actually required to know how to pilot several mechs of varying tonnages because each round has a different weight limit. The same type of rules that will be implemented into the actual ranked system at a later date. Sorry you got rolled lol

Where there's a will there's a way but fair enough sir, in that circumstance all you can say is "Well played sir".

This was a premade 12v12, OP should have stated that in his post and not let speculation run wild but I feel that is partially what he wanted, was for people to widley speculate. To me it just seems to be 12 guys who had fun, grabbed 12 Atlas mechs they each owned, and threw together a few matches.

I have seen this a few times in the past and normally it losses, these players your fighting, without a video to watch of the match, I am guessing are fairly skilled, it is not just Armor and bigger guns. Even 12 atlas mechs require some skill and tactics to use. (I as a light mech pilot sometimes like to solo assault mechs in Pug matches and get a kick out of the big lumbering mech not knowing what to do).

Throwing an Edit in

The game needs a bit of work before it could ever be an e-sport, also the term e-sport annoys me.

No, just someone trying to propagate and fear monger new players and hoping that this helps strengthen some cause, probably to do with merfing teams because they're so "OP", but this one is versatile, it could easily go in one of the "too many assaults", atlas are op, MM in general, tonnage restrictions, but I'm betting some pugstomp slander personally

agreed it's always been the way and the scaremongering is a stupid thing to do, troll teams get kicked with stratagies anyways.

I was amused.

12-man Steiner Scout lances are great troll fodder.

Too bad I was expecting the 12-man Highlander meta. :)
