My stats are as follows (There is an unknown discrepancy between matches played with weapons and matches played with the mech. Do not ask me why):
Mas laser:
- 85.46% accuracy.
- 31.76 shots per match.
- 78.52 damage per match.
- 2.892 damage dealt per shot that hit.
- 2.472 damage per shot fired (including misses).
SSRM2s:
- 64.47% accuracy.
- 91.81 missiles fired per match. (45.9 shots per launcher.) (Less than 1 ton of ammo.)
- 158.142 damage per match.
- 2.671 Damage per Missile that hit.
- 1.722 damage per missile shot (including misses).
- 161.175 damage expected per ton of ammo.
These are my two close range weapons. Combined, they do an average of 236.662 damage per match, at 2 tons for the two med lasers, 1 ton for the spare DHS (for lasers, we shall just say), 4.5 tons for three SSRM2s, another 1.5 tons for BAP for SSRMs, and 2 tons of SSRM ammo. A total of 11 tons dedicated to my close range weapons.
Edit: 21.52 damage per ton per match.
On the other side, here are my LRMs scores:
- 41.75% accuracy rating.
- 407.62 missiles fired per match. (20.38 volleys of my ALRM 20). (Just over 2 tons of ammo (2.264 tons of ammo to be exact))
- 192.238 damage per match.
- 1.13 damage per missile that hit.
- 0.472 damage per missile fired (including misses).
- 82.665 damage expected per ton of ammo.
Now, take this, and figure out my total tonnage dedicated to the LRM20. LRM 20 is 10 tons. Artemis is another 1 ton. Then, add in 4 tons of ammo. (Excluding BAP as that is there for SSRMs really, though it does help LRMs. And Artemis is for SSRMs, but it adds tonnage to LRMs.) Thats a total of 15 tons.
Edit: 12.82 damage per ton dedicated to the weapon system per match.
So, for having more weight (and crits) dedicated to LRMs, I do far less damage overall. 192.2 damage total for LRMs compared to 236.7 damage for my close range weapons. 428.9 damage total. About 44.82% of my match damage is caused my by heavier LRM system in a given match. Where as 55.18% of my damage is caused by my light close range weapons.
If LRMs are so OP, shouldn't they be causing more of my damage per tonnage of system invested? Yet, somehow, my direct fire damage weapons (and close range) seem to be dealing more damage than my LRM systems, but they weigh less...
Maybe I'm in "Low Elo". Maybe I'm in "High Elo". I don't know. All I can say is, my stats seem to be denying the "LRMagadon". I'm sure if I crunched other player's stats on their weapons since the new patch (or even weapons since the old patch for non-LRM related numbers), I'm sure I will continue to find this pattern. LRMs having a speed increase does not seem to be making them any deadlier than any other weapon. And Direct fire weapons still seem to be more powerful overall.
PS: The Griffin has been the only mech I have played (besides 1 match with a Locust, which used a LPL) since the path. It is also the only mech that I have played that uses these weapon systems since this patch.
