I like to play energy and some srms, so I'm not really concerned with Meta. I'm more concerned with smooth good gameplay mechanics and new modes.

I'll still upgrade the engine, add ES, AMS, DHS, probably Artemis and BAP, and maybe upgrade the PPC to an ERPPC, but I'm going to keep the same basic weapons layout. I figure I have to do something to keep the Griffin-1N somehow different from my other mediums, and leaving it stock actually does that.

That said I quite like ml-ppc/ssmr builds on my griffins, and don't think of ballistic wolverine as a best among the 6.
P.S. LMR based griffins are also fun.

Yes, not meta. but that does not make it "bad"

Note: I'm not a good player nor do i follow the meta I just make mech builds I feel are effective and fun. Right now even with srm hit detection being buggy it's fun running up to someone with quad srm6 and those two medium lasers and punching them straight in the balls for some massive burst dmg and JJing over a hill and away lol.

No regrets with the Saber Pack, truly a pair of great mediums!

1) What is currently working well.
2) The next thing that works well.
Without changes to 1, #2 means new stuff may change the Meta in some way.
That said, the Meta encompasses several successful mechs, but it's not a law that you need to follow it.
