I am KE_IG_Warfare and before I came to the Empire, I fought under the banner of the FRR (Hitman, SteelDragon) and Black Roses (JOEsSwan, JOEsWizard, Eliminator, etc). The Empire however will always be my home (1999-present).

Long Live the Empire!!

A bunch of us relics from mechwarrior past are coming out of the woodwork.

Ain't it the truth. Former WD_Vortex here, and about six other unit names I can no longer recall.

Since the zone: Daughters grew up, I retired from the Army, completed an MBA, three employers, bought a house that depreciated %40+, played way too much Halo...

It's nice to look forward to MW again.

If memory serves, I spent most of my MW3 career on MSN Zone as LMC_Viper. I formed a casual group, the Light Mech Cavalry and kept it up and running for a year or two.

I was in my early teens and it was probably the second online game I ever spent a significant amount of time on (with the first being the original Command & Conquer) since it was a genre I greatly enjoyed and my 56k connection (really 14-28k) was just barely good enough to handle it. For some reason, I enjoyed the Strider more than the Shadowcat since it was uncommon and circle strafing felt faster (lighter weight) and easier (torso twist limit very close to 90 degrees), so I was rocking that most of the time with either a machine gun loadout for Infinite Ammo matches or Flamers otherwise. I did really well and felt kind of badass at the time, though in retrospect, my biggest weapon was probably my poor connection and how good I was at exploiting it. If nothing else it at least taught me unpredictability (making the most of my 56k armor to avoid getting 1-shotted by the heavies) and precision (lag shooting).

Fun times. I missed out on most of MW4 due to me being busy with school, but I should be able to fully dive in to this upcoming iteration.

After MPBT I played on the zone for a while in the Vengeance League with DRAAGUN. Good times. I don't remember too many non-DRAAGUN's... definitely did a bunch of drops against Onlashoc and BlkMamba though. Some great battles there against players you love to hate, as opposed to players you just actually can't stand. Nothing so fun as dropping against teams you desperately want to beat down but respect and like at the same time. Hah, actually the way I felt about DRAAGUN originally.

Going to be interesting to see the different communities merge.

Damn I remember playing on the zone way back when....lol... I ran with Goliath Scorpions back then... I remember some english guy recruited me into that clan and I never looked back. Good times... our clan leader was so into the game he had clan T shirts, coffee mugs and all sorts of other stuff made up that we could buy online. Had the old team speak server up and running and boy did we have fun... I remember working at EB Games as a manager back then and I couldn't wait to get done work so I could get home and play... damn game was soooo addictive..lol. I can't wait to get back into this... I even still have my old dual controller... time to wipe off the dust and get some practice in...lol.
Any other GS members kickin around.?

lol... oh don't even get me started about how much the wife hated that game... : You spend more time at that damn computer playing that stupid game then you do with me.... she used to say...lol. It was true...lol... I think the most fun I had was when I picked out a Raven.. stripped it and loaded the biggest engine in it with 1 laser.... could do a 120 kph and be accross the screen in seconds legging the hell out of the big guys... drove peopel nuts!... Especially when I would keep on typing BEEP BEEP in the chat... ROFLMAO.

Played MW4 with KAx and CCS in VL, SL, NBT (KAx went by MH - Marian Hegemony in the League) and other leagues I may be forgetting. Also played with KORE every now and then.  Went by 'SilentBob' - Feels like a lifetime ago.

Fun stuff... definitely brings out the memories. I played as SJ_Maha, CSJ_Maha, Maha_Wirth and Maha_Otomo. I see a lot of names I recognize from those days. Good to see they are still alive and kicking!
