What mechs do you consider "done", or fixed to a sufficient degree that you won't mess with them, even to donate parts to other mechs.

Mine would be:
my K2, although I broke that one moving the Adv.Zoom module to my Jester
My CTF-3D,
My BJ-1 (was running a three times mastered BoomJack waaay the heck before the champion thank you. Lots and lots of folks were, and it's incredibly annoying to have someone in chat accuse you of "just copying the BJ-1(C)")
VTR-9S.

I've got 54 other mechs, but these ones I never futz with loadout wise.

JR7-D
RVN-3L
COM-TDK
CDA-X5

That's it. Everything else is negotiable.

The only one that I would classify as "done" would be my ON1-K (300 std, lrm 15+A, 4 MLAS, AC20). Everything else I tweak constantly.

Jenner F, Jenner D, X-5, Hunchback P, Stalker 3F, Cataphract 3D, and Maybe Spider 5D.

The rest I'm still tinkering with now and then.

I only pilot chickenwalkers - I've mastered all of them except the cicada.

All of the mechs I have mastered I consider 'finished', unless the meta changes drastically.

I think I wouldnt mess arround with Mechs I play rarely. Like my Awesome 8V.
But even mechs, I feel very comfortable right now, arent save for an overhaul in future.

Also I take engines out of any "ready" builds, if I need them. They are easy to requip, since you just need to stuff them with DHS. Thats doable within seconds and if you are in a group. No long waiting time, because of a teammate who want to tweak this or that.

Modules are bought only once. After every session, I withdraw them from the Mech I played.
That means I dont go for daily 2blXP. Most of my mechs are mastered anyway and the rest I play only if I am in the mood. (didnt even touched premium time of the phoenix package, since I have far enough C-Bills and XP).

"Fixed"? Hmm

JR7-F
CDA-2A
HBK 4H
QKD 5K
CTF 3D
HGN 733

All the remaining ones are subject to change, or certain chassis aren't even being actively employed by months (like my two dragons or my two catapults), so whenever I'd have to re-employ them I'd probably use them in a different way, or even sell them out. Certain are there simply hoping the actual gameplay/meta will change to re-employ them.

My X5 and...

Uh.

Yeah. Everything else is up for grabs. I tweak builds way too often to be loyal to any one particular setup.

The closest to 'finished', I think, are my blackjacks. I see no reason to remove the 8mlas/XL295 from my BJ-1X, or the PPCs and mlas from my BJ-3, and while my BJ-1 occasionally swaps around it's got the AC20/3mlas build on it 90% of the time (and no, I'm not copying anyone, I've used that for months).

Most of my other mechs swap loadouts on a semi-regular basis. Of those mechs, the only ones that don't really change much are my AS7-D (2ppc/ac20/2srm6/2mlas) and my CTF-3D (the usual 2ppc/2ac5).

This doesn't count modules, though. Those things are too expensive to buy lots of, so the ones I have swap around *all* the time.

Pretty much all mechs I don't use for competitive or aren't leveling up. I hold on to those variants thinking someday they may be usefull. Hasn't happened yet. but I have my fingers crossed.

CN9-YLW (ER Llas, AC/20, 4 tons ammo, 280 XL) - may not be the best, but it sure as hell works for me.

Jagermech - DD (Dual Gauss, 6 tons ammo, 2 Med Las) - slow but reliable, and I enjoy it

I am settling in with the Battlemasters and Shadowhawks, but haven't really finalized the builds that suit me best.

My most unfinished, raw mechs - Thunderbolts - all of my ideas seem to be bad for me so far, these still need a lot of work.

None, Im always adapting weapons engines and loadouts. Modifying is a never ending process for me and without that I would not have found so many unique weapon pairings, and outright fun builds. Even my highest KDR mechs I change up and have actually improved them significantly.

I often rework almost all my mechs to try different setups. Still, there are a few I have left alone.

Hunchback 4P "Swayback": It will always be a 9MLaser platfrom

Catapult C1: I think I have found the absolute BEST loadout I can equip (minus any serious balance shifting between LRMs and SRMs).

Catapult K2: I am probably keeping the 4MLaser, 2 A/C10 setup. Everytime I toy with it in the Mechbay, I always put that
loadout back.

LCT-1V
LCT-3M
LCT-3S
SDR-5D
SDR-5K
SDR-5V
JR7-D
JR7-K

The rest I don't drive much, and tinker with them constantly. I'll likely be adding the Griffin variants to this list when they are released in December for Saber buyers.

Only my ECM lights are really set in stone:
Commando 2D
Spider 5D
Raven 3L
They generally have such specific engine requirements that they're not good donating parts, nor can their weapons be tweaked too much.

And technically:
Jenner D(F)
Hunchback 4G(F)
Catapult C1(F)
Atlas D(F)
Now that I've mastered them, they're stripped of parts and awaiting the day I can move them to back of the mechlab instead of the front.

4 atlases (D, D-DC, RS, BH)
5 catapults (though the C1 may be up for a rework soon)
Com2d and TDK
Jäger-DD
Spider 5D (Dakkaspider slated for rework due to raised engine caps)
Sarah jenner
Misery
YenLo
X5
3 Shadowhawks
LRM Battlemaster
"Summoner" Thunderbolt

The rest of my 32 mechs could theoretically change at any time.

Very few of my mechs remain unchanged. The flavor of matches is different every day, something that works on Tuesday may be woefully inadequate Wednesday. that being said some mechs have builds that I dont change, for a number of reasons (sometimes its the only build I can get to work, as in the LCT-1V)

Jagermech JM6-DD - 2 x AC 20 2 x ml

Locust LCT-1V - 4 x MG 1 x ml

CIcada CDA-3M - 4 x ML (old build was two LL)

CTF-3D - 2 x PPC 1 x AC-10

Most of my other mechs get stuff swapped out almost daily.
