Hopes And Dreams?

When can I have a match that doesnt have 1 or 2 blank spaces on my team? When can I have a match that doesnt have 1 or 2 disconnects? When can I have a match where the game registers my attacks on mechs? When can I have a match where the timer will work on Airstrikes and Artystrikes so that they arent used over and over? When can I have a game where the client doesnt lock up? When can I have a game where the Matchmaker doesnt put me as a high elo player with the bottom of the barrel, worst players in the game on my team?
I know that PGI has a problem with keeping deadlines and being able to keep the game stable and playable. But, it has been a year. The beta excuse is gone ... when are your customers going to get some answers?

Well they did say about CW "I'll have some nice info to share soon. Had a few weeks out of the office."

About giving some answers and communication. Having dropped the ball constantly on that field, I'm quite baffled actually that they haven't done the following:
1) At mwomercs.com, there should be 1 click away a page, which lists ALL recent dev activity on one page through whatever medium. PGI is FOREVER indebted to Syllogy for his page. Without it, I might not be playing because I just would've been so frustrated at haircombing the forums for dev activity to find out what's going on with the game. And despite Syllogy's effort, I still have to click through Russ/Bryan/Garth twitter feeds to find something. Well actually only Bryan's nowadays. Garth just twitters about his cicada and patiently answers to noobs. Russ talks about things unfitting for a battletech fan like real life and if someone asks about the game, he says he'll have to ask someone and never gets back to them or that discussion is not shown on twitter publicly. Because the game is no longer beta, how about PGI would actually do the work Syllogy has been doing for them for half a year and give him 10000 MC as a reward. After that "we're hiring" sign hanging on the pages forever and with our phoenix money, they can't just say they don't have the resources for this. So far, they just haven't wanted to do this. I can't really understand why.
2) When the 1) has been done and removed the general communication confusion, then they could actually maintain the commlink rigorously. This means in practice that, for example, they would have released the CW info update before Bryan going out of office. Unless of course, he was on out to make that all up and had to take whole two weeks for that.
I think they could gain A LOT in trust by doing little things like when they say "next week", it actually happens Mon-Wed the next week, not Fri-Sun the week after the next week.

It is quite impossible over here :x .
Also it will be rly nice to have tracker for their activity on twitter/facebook and repost it on forums as important posts.
I think this forum is rly useless and I see now why only 10% active player base read it.

Oh this was so last year. the back of the waiting line is way over there. How's the Mecha game you're developing coming along?

They said they were going to make the 12 man queues 1PV only, and *poof*! Here we are!

Hope - I have none. Confidence in the company no not really.
Balance not a chance
Match maker - biggest troll in the game
And I have come to these conclusions from playing for about a month. Followed it for while but didnt enjoy the mech play but gave it another shot a month ago (besides 2 games before).

I'm a new player, I started a few months ago.
I also don't have any hope, because that's stupid to attribute to a video game. I'm having fun, enjoying the game and shooting big robots.

She says we've got to hold on to what we've got
Cause it doesn't make a difference
If CW makes it or not
We've got each other and that's a lot
For love Mechwarrior we'll give it a shot

It's still mind boggling that they didn't see CW as one of if not the highest priority prior to launch. UI2.0 is becoming PGI's own personal dead horse at this point. I support this game and plunk money into it and try to give constructive feedback but at the same time I can understand the frustration and cynicism of some when it comes to this game and PGI's trakc record when it comes to "deadlines" and PR, they are shaky at best and just horrid at worst. I really want something more to do than jsut stomp and derp for an hour or two in the evenings. I want something to fight for (even though it's just virtual) other than c-bills. There is so much potential here and I really want MWO to reach that high level I was expecting 2 years ago.

Well part of the problem with CW is obvious... the current UI is poorly thought out (internally) and poorly implemented (see chat). UI 2.0 is needed, so I don't need to reiterate it.
If you took any part of the UI 2.0 "alpha" session, it seems to me that the "graphics guys" who were partly responsible for the in-game scoreboard (how it fades in and out, w/o consideration of how important that info should be displayed w/o delay) will be responsible for making the CW interface (and improved chat) be a lot more amenable. You want to be able to "do what you want" while not trying to break things (like, a future Cryengine upgrade so that we can have Fleas going 200+kph). It's a complicated matter and I wouldn't be the first to tell you I hate whatever lame decision process came to mind with all this time wasted/spent up to the point... but when you consider the foundation this game is on, you might as well embrace the

I can understand that and I am almost in the same boat with you. The exception being the PP deal. That was just too good to pass up with the number of mechs you get for the price. That's the last they'll get out of me until I see more though. That's 12 mechs and that's more than enough to keep me occupied for the length of the game for spending cash. Everything else I can buy with c-bills until I feel like I've got something to look forward to besides a new mech (especially since I've already got more than a dozen and a few in every weight class now AND mechs that give me a c-bill bonus)

I dont think I would be ready to jump off the bridge yet. Like it was said previously, the game is progressing - although slow.

I can understand that perfectly but at some point any reason or excuse wears thin. 12 months is enough time to at the very least get SOMEthing implemented on this front. We simply need more game at this point. I want to fall in love with this game so badly. Sometimes it feels like battered spouse syndrome. They keep promising to be better and change and then I'm back in the ER explaining to the doctor how I "tripped and fell down the stairs"
