I think they'll save the Daishi for later as it will be OP and they'll want some more numbers on performance with clan weapons first AND it will sell super well.

I'm guessing a 4 or 5 mech first bunch (5 for $100 buck IMO) then several more in a saber like pack with the Daishi and some other Omni or two.

First pack Madcat + Thor or Vulture in the heavy spot, 1 each other tonnage areas.

Considering it takes about a month to make a new mech model and PGI will undoubtedly want as many clan tech options for people to purchase as possible I predict we'll see 2 new models and 2 clan tech retrofit mechs assuming a late spring release date that is.

Most likely we'll see

Light: Locust IIC, Jenner IIC, Kit Fox, Adder
Medium: Shadow Hawk IIC, Griffin IIC, Nova, Stormcrow
Heavy: Orion C, Thunderbolt TDR-5S (C) Mad Dog, Summoner, Timberwolf
Assault: Atlas II and Atlas AS7-D (C), Victor VTR-9B (C), Direwolf, Warhawk

I also predict a founder's pack that will include the Adder, Nova, Timberwolf, and Dire Wolf (in sequence like the Phoenix pack) with possibly 2 upgrade packs to include the IIC models and a Classic Clan Mech Pack to include the Storm Crow, Mad Dog, and Summoner.

Hmmm for lights i think the Kit Fox because of his weapon Loadout, Medium i hope for the Stormcrow because the Shadowcats Cockpit would be in the right high to finish it with arm mounted AC20 and that wouldnt be good.

On Heavy i dont think there will be a Summoner because of its to similar to the Thunderbolt. Maybe a Hellbringer (65 Tons like the other Pre order Heavys (Catapult n Thunderbolt)

and on the Assault Level i would love a Warhawk because he looks so cool.

I dont think they will release IIC's because you can fit them with Clan Tech Equipment out of the Mechs you still have

I highly doubt they're going to allow cross tech and if they do I'm probably going to only play private games that don't allow it because it completely ruins the game's immersion. I want to face down the clans with my puny IS tech and want the two techs to be different but balanced not an Oprah style clan tech giveaway or worse a clan tech grind fest to "balance" the game.

The Hellbringer is a deathtrap with its STD armor and STD structure causing it to have almost no armor and it's not one of the 3 most popular clan heavies (it is #4 though) so while it won't be available at release it will be available eventually. It does have 30 tons or so of pod space so it will really only be used as a mobile sniper type (2 cERPPC+heat sinks+clan LRMS and JJ+ECM).

Nova as it looked in MW4 after the mektek boys beat it up for awhile and gave it a (terrible) torso twist to emulate the lack of torso twist in TT.

Umm, the Hellbringer (Loki) can carry ECM. In addition, ithe base model armor doesn't matter, because people are going to change it as one of the first things they do after they buy one. It's going to be VERY popular.Nobody cares what the standard armor and structure are unless they're playing stock, which while commendable, there is no way of enforcing it currently.

THe Loki is going to have immense hard point potential (I highly doubt they'll let omnis mount anything anywhere) I expect it to be possibly THE most favored heavy in the game after the Madcat love wears off.

Omnimechs can only change their weapons and equipment not their armor. Also any onmimech can pod mount ECM in TT (no reason to do so really but you can). Ultimately it'll come down to how PGI decides to implement omnimechs.

Personally at my table we house ruled that it made no damn sense to spend all that money on an XL engine and to not spend a few extra quid on ES and FF when they fit fine and allow you to max the armor between them and gives you a drastically superior mech on the grounds that no clan would be so incredibly wasteful of resources.

My guess:
Clan Pack:
- Kit Fox/Uller
- Nova/Blackhawk
- Timber Wolf/Mad Cat
- Dire Wolf/Daishi

and reinforcementpacks:
RP1
- Mad Dog/Vulture
- Stormcrow/Ryoken

RP2
- Summoner/Thor
- Fire Moth/Dasher

RP3
- Hellbringer/Loki
- Adder/Puma

unlikely...but a man can dream...

They each had their legs attached at the same point as their arms as well, but the art department didn't seem to care.

And actually, Bishop Steiner did a pretty good looking Nova drawing for what it might look like with torso twisting (currently missing the arms, to better display the hip design):

Fair enough.

BTW, Bishop's design is pretty cool.

As a side note about the Nova. I always wondered why it had hands. I get that for a lot of mechs (to grab things or swing debris in the battlefield), but the Nova has such limited a limited arm movement, you would think there wouldn't be much of a point.

It would be good at delivering uppercuts I suppose, but you don't need hands per-se for those :(

It'll definitely be everyone's favorite Mad Cat and a 100 tonner because the original pack had a 100 tonner. I don't really know what will be in it, but I, for one, could use another $100+ forum tag. :(

Someone pointed out that for Clan 'Mechs a Star of war machines might be the choice..
And i would love :
-Kit Fox
-Stormcrow
-Mad Dog
-Timberwolf
.Dire Wolf or Warhwawk, don't care.

And i am sure every true Jade Falcon lover will buy instantly a Summoner.

This supports even more my point.
In fact, i also assume the Jade Falcons (and many other Clanners, included me eventually) would get a Kit Fox, even if it turns out to be a slow useless 'Mech (but hey it would have a respectable 106 KPH with speed tweak and canon engine).

If i may ask - why did not you join a Clan Wolf unit?
But i actually love your unit's videos, most of all Lightning War, is hundred times better than the official trailers

I know we probably won't see it this way, but I would like:

Kit Fox
Stormcrow (I don't really have particularly strong feelings about clan mediums in general)
Summoner
Executioner

But I have a pretty good feeling the Timberwolf & Dire Wolf will be our 1st Clan Heavy and Assault.

Honestly never thought about that, It will allow PGI to charge more for the packs, but releasing them in a group of 5 seems to be a fitting choice.

I'll bet you the Clan Pack costs a lot more than Phoenix did.

I don't really care about what mechs they introduce, I just want clan tech soon! Oh and the ability to design my own mech from the ground up would also be awesome!

The Clan Package should release five mechs since the Clans launch their forces in star formations.
It would also be cool if they were give different geometry. Anyways, here are my preferred mechs for the package:

Fire Moth (Dasher)
Stormcrow (Ryoken)
Summoner (Thor)
Timber Wolf (Mad Cat)
Dire Wolf (Daishi)

realistically?

Light: Kit Fox
Medium: Stormcrow
Heavy: Summoner
Assault: Dire Wolf

Think about it these are all solid machines, the stormcrow would draw people to pony up to at least medium, the summoner is a good jumper but the Dire Wolf would just about gaurantee sales without needing to offer the Timberwolf into it.

if they do just 1 reinforcement pack you bet it'll be the Timberwolf and probably another light like the Ice Ferret. The Ferret is decent filler when everyone would buy it for the Timberwolf easily netting them Overlord equivelent + RP from clanners

Expect a hero Mad Dog shortly after as it has the next biggest follow on.

Maybe they'll have a crazy 'Clan Invasion' pack and just sell em all? It might not need to be relegated to just 4.

But while we're wishing I want my Uziel and Bushwacker.
