I really hate to burst your bubble but PGI doesn't owe you, me, or anyone else anything to be honest. Either learn a little patience or go find other games to play while waiting for things to get implemented. Trolling and carrying on like 12 year olds does nothing for the quality of life of the game or the forums, it just makes you look immature and childish.

They don't owe us. They need us to play their game and give them money, it's that simple. Now if they want us to be patient, that's fine. However they need to be acutely aware those who are asked to be patient for too long and go off to play other games may find another very fun game and thus might not think to come back.

Not sure if trolling but I'll take the bait....

1) Community warfare was supposed to be in 90 days after they rushed to open beta. 270 days later+ still nothing.

2) Clans were supposed to invade when the 1:1 realtime calendar hit summer. They were supposed to be here 2 months ago and nothing, calendar now frozen.

3) Still no such thing as a lobby so you can't scrimmage against your friends or run events.

4) Still no in game voice chat so pugs still get erased by 4 mans.

5) still no DX11 for crossfire etc.

6) Still no UI 2.0

7) Still no role warfare skill trees - some skills like pinpoint don't actually do anything either.

8) Information warfare still no function for the command console despite being in game for ~15 months, NARC still unusable, ECM still top dog but BAP now at least counters ECM.

9) Still no dropship mode.

10) Capture points still not bases with turrets, but at least they have a glowing fence.

11) New mechs, couple new maps, hit detection still bugged but mostly working

12) Collisions/knockdown still not back in.

13) Devs utterly screwing founders who paid in for a 1pv game by forcing everyone to play against 3pv.

So yeah, pretty stunning progress, but stunning by omission not by completion.

The same as what I wrote back in August but now it's November.

I have bad news for you, They have a ton of corvettes fielded already.
I don't have the link to their roster on this computer, if they aren't lying they are at 300,000USD.
About 12~16 Idris Corvettes.

you know, I don't mind them having a bunch of ships, but I just hope they won't make SC "their game", where they do w/e they want and bully the rest of the players (although, they aren't called goons for nothing). If anything, it would be interesting if a similar sized faction was created solely to compete them. In any case, I hope the few goons I've known here won't make my life miserable in SC ;)

Why do all of you white knights fail to realize that the simple promise of the Founder's package does in fact mean that PGI owes them something. Not being a founder myself, I have little stake in that specific debate, not counting the fact that i very much liked and excelled at this here piece of electronic entertainment, whose very existence is owed, that's right, to the Founders.

When you invest in something, it's (not unlike this video game we're debating)a non-corporeal entity, like a mutual fund, or a venture that has yet to come to fruition. But you have certain rights as an investor, and are thus protected from fraud. PGI started the Founder's program because they promised a set of features that the founder's money will finance. If you get to the legal specifics I guarantee IGP protected themselves very well, but the gist of my argument is this: the millions of dollars provided by the Founders to make a game in a specific set of parameters does, in fact, mean PGI owes them something.

Ideologically? Maybe. Legally? Not one bit. They got exactly what they payed for. Mechs, premium time and early access.

Does this mean that PGI has done a good job? Hell no, but it also doesn't mean that you are going to be able to actually get something out of them either.

That's very true, and it would be PGI's loss. Look I know people are frustrated, I get it. But going about it the way some do really doesn't solve anything, it just causes useless drama, that in the end doesn't matter one bit if CW gets in or doesn't. The world isn't going to end because CW isn't in the game in January.

January 201X - not only is part of it supposed to be in this January, but it was supposed to all be in last January ;)

I must certainly agree with this. There's too many threads on the forums that are simply people giving feedback (often of the destructive nature) with no suggestions on how they think things could be improved.

I know this is retreading old ground but there has been a lot of very constructive feedback on the forums over the past 17 months, at least as I recall. Some of the highlights include people like homeless bill discussing heat efficiency and making beautiful tables for all the weapons before they were in game.

I remember others like TankBoyKen doing detailed rundowns of optimum combat engagement strategies etc.

There have been lots of great threads contributing both feedback and just generally to the community.

I didn't meant to suggest that there hasn't been ANY good feedback (HomelessBill, TankBoyKen, Koniving and others have created extremely good threads that generated awesome discussion), I simply meant that the number of bad threads is greater than the number of helpful threads. I've tried to give what constructive input I can as well (perhaps not as insightful as that of others, but I do what I can).

There are definitely nuggets of wisdom buried on these forums, I don't mean to suggest that everything is awful.

Yet you're still here, and there on the SC forums of all things ******* and moaning as if you'll convert anyone to your MWO Exodus. Good luck with that cupcake.

LOL you think i'm apart of the cries just cause i lurked there. of course i'm still here i like the IP. the SC forum is hillarious to say the least the "passion" for a video game... it's useless drama but it's also an cancer on possible customers. still pgi will have to take it their game deving is expected but their PR is woefull this sort of "exodus" should never have happened.

true but that's "passion" supposedly.

and LOL again you think i'm supporting yet another KONG fail, streak a1 sauce was a real game changer and the exodus is no different.

your paranoia preceeds any logic you ever gather. and advice cupcake... troll feeding brings back trolls ;)

Galaxy also has the best sig in this entire forum, just had to point that out.

e: I also like how this one thundrspectre or w/e has tried to derail this thread multiple times.

This is not about SC or any other game its about the state of MW:O right now.

It started out pretty civil, hell even I chimed in but now its starting to devolve.

TBH the thread went off the rails about 10 pages back, because discussing the state of the game is like discussing the weather we've all seen it and that's that.

really surprised Dest came out and pretty much left it to carry on in gamebalance... would've thought it would at least be jettisoned.

what will the pgi haters think of this? they say you're banned if you utter one hate thought on the "goldforums"

i'm beggining to like this thread brings out the honesty in people.

BTW thks for the sig comments, finally got round to it when i said i was doing it back in march... has pgi worn off on me?

PGI killed it, nothing else to say. They took one of the best gaming opportunities ever presented and destroyed it. They did such an effective job at destroying it, in fact, that it's hard to believe that they may have done it on accident (just my personal opinion).

Maybe someone will learn something from it though, who knows...

I put a good chunk of money in this game. I have really enjoyed it for over a year. But as of today, I have played one match in 3 weeks. the game is stale, and honestly there are no signs of it getting better. the "coming soon" motto has really worn me out. none of my friends play regularly any more, which I am taking as a "sign of the times" as a small example of a dwindling player base. I'll check back now and then, but I am not putting any more time in until I see some real progress.

You're right... it has sort of drifted away from the original topic, so I'll try to post something that perfectly encapsulates the current state of MWO.
Posted Image

According to this the Rashalhague capitol has already fallen. Amazing that we haven't heard a peep out of them...
Posted Image

Where did I find this hilariously out of date nugget of misinformation about MWO? Why right here at www.mwomercs.com/game ... today.... just this minute.

Yes, I know the timeline has been frozen since before summer when it became obvious the invasion was already terminally delayed, but to me the state of MWO is perfectly encapsulated in their own misrepresentations on the flashy opening screen that a new player might read before diving in. This has been wrong for six months but there's been no effort to correct it, and like the game and the promises of "soon" and the claims on there are a lot of sizzle, but no steak.
