It doesn't hurt that some of the assault pilots on the other team were clearly failwarriors. Anyone can stack a team full of assault mechs, it's whether or not a team is coordinated, as well as what you do with that tonnage that really matters.
True, although I wouldn't say our team was that coordinated, no one took command and the only comm's chat we had was "There's some in the tunnel" but we did work well together. We started in the South of the Frozen City map and I think some of the Atlas's tried to nip around the back through the tunnel and ended up getting stuck behind each other.
Me and a few others had already swept around left and headed over the crashed wreck where we picked a few off, that's when the tunnel report came in, by the time we got back to the Tunnel they'd pushed through and downed a few of ours but we had a good brawl with them, I even left targets who were weaponless to concentrate on the bigger threats.
It's also a bit harsh to label them failwarriors, 1 of the Atlas trail mech pilot's has been a member longer than you! I think what lost them the match was down to a bad tactical decision by splitting up and the slow movers going through the tunnel, this negated they're 2 pilot advantage and massive tonnage difference. If they had stuck together and met us head on I'm sure it would have a been a different outcome, trail pilots or not
