that's a 2 tier difference (although I had no friends that played so I never had a unit, i just dropped solo and I've seen up to tier6 when I was in a tier2)

So using that MM we get a tier 1 mech against a tier 3.

Many new players leave because
A. There isn't an actual game. (Released without community warfare or any reason for the drops we do)
B. The initial grind in trial mechs they have little to no control over isn't really a good introduction to the game.
C. Content, they don't really release much of any. 3 new maps I think since I started in April? And each map is not really that large compared to a zone in an MMO. Oh, and people get stuck on these maps more frequently, and with no unstuck option.

Had friends leave for all of the above. It's too bad because the not-a-game part is fairly fun.

Oh god... I have so much regret.

I've played 797 matches and I'm so throughly tired of the game. First mech bought never really felt good and I only used it to grind for the second one. Second one felt really fun so I grinded for the three chassis variants because I thought that's a thing you must do. That mech was Atlas and that grind killed any mood for the game for a long time so I escaped to other games.

Thought of coming back and grind for another mech and did after unholy amount of games and now it's sitting pretty in the garage... I haven't used it once. I can't motivate myself to grind anymore for the DHS or engine. It's just sitting there, mocking me.

I thought I was going to spend money on new mech bays to have some of the pretty mechs I really like. 797 games... I HAVE TWO MECHS ONE I HAVEN'T USED ONCE. God, so many regrets. Mayby I should have ignored the three chassis variants thing and got new mechs instead to keep my intrest. Mayby there's a warning somewhere in these forums telling me for the love of god ignore the 3 chassis thing. Mayby my taste in Atlas was my doom.

This is the worst grind I've ever come across of and somehow still battled through because I'm so damn intrested in the material. But I can't do it anymore, I've killed the game for myself. I have 4 mechbays and they're half empty... I thought I was going to buy mechbays. *SOB* I'm going to take a very long break again and see if I can get some joy from the game again. I'm hoping for some changes in this part of the game because I think I don't have the stamina for grinding this game anymore unlike WT. It's just not safe for my mental health.

Yep, the Atlases are a ***** to grind out. I would totally skip them though and go for something more enjoyable. It's a bit akin to grinding for the Tier 10 tank and not going through the different tiers in WoT. The grind for atlas has gotten harder that's for sure. I managed it long time ago for the two extra variants. Having two other founder mechs mastered before helped too. Doing all three without a good cheaper mastered baseline mech would really suck.

The best way I can think of would be playing with a 4-man group on the public teamspeak servers or in a merc corp. That way you can focus on gameplay and not the grind while potentally earning more in a more casual environment.

Uhm ok, if you're gonna troll at the VERY least take lessons from Road, myself, or Heffay. We can teach you how to properly troll while keeping at least a LITTLE credibility

The problem with MWO is the lack of content. The games start feeling more repetitive much faster than in WoT. There is no Community Warfare to transition into. It makes the grind feel more grindy, not because of C-bills but because of redundancy (IMO)

That's the big one. The only "progression" the game has at present to keep players interested is in trying out new mechs and builds. Make that harder, and interest will atrophy.

Ironically, I've had less need to buy MC recently because I haven't bought new paints, hangar slots or cockpit kit (because I'm not buying new mechs).

You do realize that forum account and player account don't match? This was my first post on forums and it shows that. GG.

Your forum account is linked to your game account. Your join date is the date you joined MWO, not the day you joined the forums. Unless that's changed? Anyone? I could be mistaken on this one but that's how it's always been explained to me.

One other thing......

Uhm you've earned 64 millions c-bills, enough to buy and customize 4 Atlas assault mechs with XL everything and have money left over, you have 2 empty bays out of 4........... so uhm you expect me to believe you don't have neough money to buy any mech you want? If you had 4 Atlases and you sold 2 of them and earned 64 million c-bills explain to me how you don't have enough money to buy any mech you want to play with?

This is the worst grind I've ever come across

800 matches for 11 mechs
that's 72 matches per mech
6 minute average per match is 432 minutes
432 minutes is 7.2 hours or 40 minutes (I rounded up) per mech
so in approximately 7.2 hours of game time you bought 11 (4 of which are assaults I might add) customized mechs

Please, tell me more about the "grind"

You are literally the worst person, I can't believe how awful you are. I'm sending you to ponylandia to learn about friendship and tolerance. I mean here I pour out my story of self admitted regrets and I get a third degree about my account and stuff and I don't even know whyyyyyyyyy. It still is the worst grind and I played WoT germans,,, ****** panzer 38 (na) and it's tiering *shudder my timbers*. You better write a good friendshp lesson to princess sunbutttheinternetz after this.

Also you know trial mechs? they show in stats? I've had 4 mechs (jager, atlas RS, D-DC and Atlas DADDASDADAS) AND A ****** VICTOR THAT IS MOCKIN ME. ALSO DID YOU MISS THE ONE DAY MARKS AS IN 24 HOURS! HERE I DO IT FOR YOU 376 minutes more or less I don't care. Wheeeeee.

I hate you. I don't even know why you are doing this to meeeeeeeheheheheee.

That can't happen in in WOT. At least not in the past several years since before I was playing.

In the curent game you can't see higher than a tier 2 oppoent if you are in a T1 tank solo.
