Have you ever seen a hawk emerge from the shadows? Fresh from the Mech factory, the Shadow Hawk is now available in 3 variants!

  • Get the SHD-2D2 if you're a fan of diversity. With Energy, Missile and Ballistic hardpoints, this well-rounded load packs space for a little of everything.
  • Looking for a ballistic punch? Check out the Shadow Hawk SHD-2H with 3 Ballistic hardpoints ready to whip your enemies.
  • Or maybe you'll pilot the SHD-5M for a devastating energy/ballistic combo and some missiles for support.

No matter which Shadow Hawk you choose, you can grab standard variants starting today for  or ! Or buy them all and level those pilot skills.

See you on the battlefield!

The ShadowHawks are a nice blend of ballistics, energy, and missiles... with Jump Jets. Although they all differ only by the number of hardpoints on each variant, rather than by having great differences in their hardpoints like the Hunchback Line of Mechs, you can still set them up in a good variety of ways. Just don't go looking for ShadowHawk Energy Boats... they all are meant to utilize ammo of some sort to achieve a full arsenal of firepower.

They don't completely out-class other Mediums in every way, either. The Hunchbacks have much greater maneuverability, the Centurions have better brawling/zombie survival, the Trebuchets have more energy hardpoints to support their missile weapons, and the BlackJacks can mount XL engines with an AC/20 (which the Shadow Hawk cannot).

Overall, I think the ShadowHawk variants are Jacks of all Trades instead of being resigned to any specific roles.

A pretty solid mech despite being too tall (yet again) for a medium mech.

and today I got master for all of them ..

Using AC20&MPL or PPC&AC10 are my favorite loadouts for all variants.

Indeed. I always want to make each variant a little different than each other because all I do is wind up playing them all the same way and it gets boring mastering 3 mechs the same way.

So far I've done the 2D2 as the Light hunter, 2xML, 4xSSRM2, LB-X 10
The 2H with 2xLRM10, 1xLRM5, 1xER LL, 1xAC/2
The 5M with 2xML, 1xSRM6, 1xSRM4, 1xUAC/5

Just to mix it up some.

The Shadowhawk is a beast. I normally despise Medium Mechs for their lack of firepower, but oh boy have I been wrong: http://mwo-builds.ne...2-brawler/1224/

400+ damage rounds are not uncommon and I just even finished unlocking the basics for all Shadowhawks!

Can we get a Variant with JJ's a ballistic in one arm, 2 missiles in the torso, and 2-3 beam in the other arm? A baby Victor if you will? Doesn't have to be able to pack an AC/20, but it would be nice ;)

Mediums, schmediums. It's one of the best mechs. ;) Flexible, powerful, great fun to play.

If you didn't buy Phoenix, an excellent use of your c-bills.

Oddly enough I can't get mine to "work". Too used to having my main guns in my arms for better precision. Haven't given up on the SH yet... but I may want a Wolverine instead.

Having a big gun in the Torso indeed can take some time to get used to. But the Shadowhawk runs good with an AC10 in the Torso and as many Lasers and Types as possible in the Arm(s).
Running my Phoenix with XL Engine, AMS, AC10 and a Large Laser. Works abosultely great. Good Punch for a Medium Mech that can take on bigger MEchs in 1 on 1 Situations, the XL Engine is pretty safe and Jump Jets make a good advantage in using the map. Love it!
