After being away from MWO for about maybe 6 to 8 months ive patched it up and got one game with no problems then the very next one this black screen problem occurs. I get the map loading screen then it goes black and stays that way and i have to alt-f4. This now happens everytime, I can go to training grounds no problem. My connection is fine, all other games work fine

I have exactly the same problem as everybody on this thread. I've tried:
Fresh install (works for 1 match)
Running the repair tool (no effect)
Having a friend log in on my machine (no effect)
Disabling firewall/antivirus/router security (no effect)
Changing resolution (no effect)
Running in window mode/fullscreen/full window (no effect)
Using Dx9/Dx11 (no effect)

The only pattern I have noticed is after it happens once, it happens every time thereafter until I reboot. It's also more likely to fail if I drop in a lance or after my computer has been hibernated.

It's been happening since the Feb patch for me. Very annoying. I'm playing War Thunder till it is fixed.

Kinda glad its not just me, sucks when it happens but i at least have other mechs to play.

Does anybody still have this problem? I just moved to Phoenix. I no longer have VZ FiOS available so I use CenturyLink High Speed. I've only dc'd back to MechLab like 2 times.

I've been having the exact problem that the op had but this is right after the patch when they messed with the match making to make it "faster" which it did but now I'm not connecting to games and its really annoying.

Still getting it since April. It has no pattern I can discern.

If there are that many of us having issues, it certainly is a problem on their side.

I'm having the same issue, Verizon FioS here. Posted a ticket but my hopes are dwindling. I've tried opening my UDP 21000-60000, and am currently running the MWO repair tool. Neither myself nor my friend in the same house can connect to a match.

I too am now having this issue.
I am a founder and played for quite sometime.
i stopped playing because i would spend tons of MC and credits to get my mech fully tweaked out to just have the next patch wonk the hech out of my setup
took a break to let things smooth out and just came back and was loving the new toys and feel of the game.
I have played for 2 days with no issues at all.
just purchased the blackhawk clan package and literally 6 matches later I can no longer get into a match.
i login perfectly.
mrch lab loads no issues
everything seems to work just great but when i go to access a match it states connecting black screen and then boots me mback to mech lab and my mech is still in a game.
I have tried the repair tool. 4 times
ret all settings to low.
updated all drivers
nothing wqorks.
EVERY other game i have works perfectly except this one. I do not get it

I've had this problem since the clan patch but it only occur's from about 4pm (GMT-07:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada) on. I've just attributed it to all the returning players making the servers too busy for my rural crapnet to connect.
