Have started building a Madcat. I thought i may build one with some MWO cues but my own design for something to do. Posted ImageI have built alot of other mechs but never the Iconic clan machine so here i go :)

Mmh, nice! but the boxy torso looks like an old TV, quiaff? :D

fantastic start. The detail work is amazing, can't wait to see where this goes.

Looks really good, but repeating Xmarx's question, what program are you using? I'm guessing it's one of those very expensive and complex modeling software programs that experienced game designers use...

It seems a common design element for the Mad Cat. I usually dislike it. Though the later shots with the missile launchers make me optmistic that this box might work.

Nicely done so far.

That would be 3DSMax... but I fail to see how could you find out it's "one of those expensive,..." just by looking at a rendered image.

Apart from the slight AA (which could easily be added in any decent 3D modelling renderer), there's nothing that sets it apart from a standard render you see tons of on the internet in everything from Maya, Blender, to SketchUp and tons of others.

The program i am using is an old version of Lightwave i picked up. The older versions sell much cheaper on EBAY
