Yesteday i noticed something wrong with some mech textures.
It's like textures goes crazy, stretching over the surface of the mech's polygons.
I'm in office actually, but i have some screens at home that i will post.

To give you an idea, what happens is the same you can see about the browny textures on the upper left in this image:

http://modcrash.com/...nbow.jpg?b6f5e7

This happens only on mech textures, never noticed the same with environment textures (buildings, terrain, rocks, etc). It did not deform the area of the mech, just paint it in a weird way.

Did anyone else noticed that?
Is there a workaround (changing tecture resolution or something like that)?
Thnx in advance.

I'll post the MWo screens about it as soon as i get back home.

Have you run the MWO repair tool? and are your video drivers up to date?

Is it the whole mech? Because I think that burn marks or bullet craters can warp like that if they are on some funny mech surfaces, I know the Dragon's nose gets this problem pretty often for me.

Drivers are ok.
And i'm not talking about texture change after taking hits.

I guess i cannot keep this post going untill i post screenshot of what happens.
My english is not good, and showing you the screenshot i have at home is 100 times better than try to explain.

i'll update this later in the afternoon so i'll be home and posting the screenshots.
I hope you'll check this post again to help me understand this.

I usually see this on a mech after I have died and/or I am spectating and the player dies.

note the incredibly streaky grey area in the center of the image. This is clearly a bug.

As redshift, but i'm afraid it did not happens only when you die, probably is because you are much more focused in hitting target while you are alive that looking at texturex.
We should investigate this further.

In this screenshot the messed up textures of the cataphract should be quite clear:

have you run the repair tool found here? also have you tried deleting your shader files? the repair tool can be set to wipe out the shader cache, which will just be re-generated the next time the game is run.

if this doesn't help can you please post your system specs and temps of the cpu and gpu.

Huh. It looks like it's the right texture, but it's being applied incorrectly, like the texture coordinates on the model's vertexes got messed up. Wish I knew more about how modern renderers work...

Seems pretty good to me. The only mistakes in this thread are two prepositions and one verb conjugation. There are native speakers who do worse. :P

I get this texture error, too. It seems to be a problem applying the damage texture. I get it both on my laptop and desktop, both running 600 series Nvidia chipsets with the current drivers. It's happen over several patches and several driver versions.
