Your Most "fun" Build?

So play around.
The thing about assaults is that you're carrying around so much firepower and armor that you EXPECT to stick around in a fight. You EXPECT to live through the match, so it's kind of disappointing when you're blown away.
In a Locust? You never have that illusion. Every shot you survive is "HAHAHAHAHAA HOW DID I SURVIVE THAT??" and then you run like crazy.
Battlemasters. When they drop for c-bills? Grab any of them: fun mechs. Run hot, but fast and fun.

Quoted for truth.
For the record, all of my builds are built as much for the fun factor as for their effectiveness.
Because, what is the point of playing a game, if you are not having fun?

However, there are plenty of builds which can be fun to play in, the JM6-DD with a couple of PPCs and 6 machine guns, its cheesy but hell its great fun to run around in and have a good laugh.

Since you like brawling and little speed, you might want a heavy mech like the Dragon or the Quickdraw - both a lot of fun and a good compromise between firepower and speed.
For mediums, I would try the Centurion, Kintaro & Blackjack - these are probably my overall favorites.
I also enjoy getting "up close and personal" (aka brawling). And any of these mechs can certainly get the job done. All can support a nice weapons platform without sacrificing too much maneuverability & speed.

I used to really like 4 PPC Stalkers before their nerfs.

Also, the Ziggy Pig (3x ML 3x UAC5) Ilya Muromets is just hilarious fun. I often do 300+ damage in a bad match, but only lived for 30 seconds of combat. It just SPITS out damage. My record of components destroyed in a match was my Ziggy with 11 - and I only had 2 kills, haha.[/color]

Awesome-8V 3LL, 1LRM15 (before Ghost Heat). I could fire everything at any target between 180m - 900m.
Hunchback-4H LBX, 4-5ML
Any Locust where I survive a match.

JESTER
With that XL350 and JJ its fast and manouverable and having the MPL forces me to go short range and do some serious "dancing" to be able to stay alive in a brawl. I have had times where I charged right over the heads of the enemy assault lance and caused so much confusion that they crumbled to the approaching attack. Also there was this one time when my spidey senses tingled and I jumped up into a nook on a building just in time to avoid a lance of lights as they ran by. I then stalked them to the theta cap on Crimson Straits and took out a stationary locust with a single alpha to the rear CT. Then i ran away cackling
