This sounds not to bad.
Main concerns are it slows down play in theory we can play approximately 3.5 matches an hour if all matches (rarely) run full time.
In practice is between six and four, dropping if you faff about in mech bay, unless organisation has a timer on it, this could end up cutting matches by a third.
This coupled with your proposed method of the 'teams' arguing over weight and what mechs they can play with and voting on maps, is frankly going to bring this game down to a crawl.
In world of war planes if I own and want to play a spitfire I click a button and I play a spitfire.
In world of tanks if I own and want to launch in a tiger tank, I click a button and launch in a tiger tank.
in War thunder if I own and want to pilot a mustang, I click a button and I pilot a mustang.
Your proposing that and I'm using me as the example, but it could be Tommy Atkins, John Doe, or Ivan the Terrible, to launch in a game and not be able to play a Hero, Pheonix, or even a founders mech, that I bought and supported your game, because four other people also want to play an Atlas, then perhaps on a map I dislike, in a battle mode I loath, because five other people wanted to play on it.
Then only get to play half the number of matches in an hour, than I could in all three games I mentioned, that might all be Stomps.
I do hope PGI that there are enough people playing, that you can afford to take a hit of 50% of your population, because I think this is what will happen as people were allready TKing and abusing people for not clicking a ready button not that long ago.
Think about it as if your just a customer would you put up with this..
Think of it as a train journey
The first you book a sear in the train you might not know all the people, but you get a seat, and you get where your going.
Or the second train where you book a seat, then when you get there your told you can't have that seat, but you can have the seat next to the toilet, and the journey is going to take twice as long as the other train.
Which train would you go on.
ups this was kinda dead, I got here through a link, but hey hoe
