This is a "Dear John" form-letter I found on the net, I rewrote it just for you, In caps. I'm posting it here so you will see it. I'm posting it 3 days earlier then I said I would because nothing you do in the next three days will change my mind about the past two years. -signed
Dear PGI,
I wish I were writing you for other reasons, but I just can’t continue our GAMING relationship feeling the way I feel right now. I’m writing this letter instead of talking face-to-face because I LIVE ALONG WAY FROM VANCOUVER and have much to tell you and this seems like the best way to express it.
Should I start by telling you how I THOUGHT YOUR ART DEPARTMENT HAD GREAT POTENTIAL? Or that the time I’ve spent with you has been the happiest in my GAMER life? Or that in the all the time I’ve known you, I was confident that we were meant to be together BECUASE YOU LET ME HELP YOU WITH THE FOUNDERS PACKAGE? I could write all those things and all would be true, but as I reread them, the only thing I can think is that I wish I were with you now, holding your hand AS I MADE YOU MAKE THIS GAME and waiting for your elusive smile BECAUSE YOU SHOULD LOVE MECHWARRIOR AS MUCH AS THE FOUNDERS DO.
I will always remember our first meeting at the RANDOM WEBSITE WITH A “FOUNDERS PACKAGE” LINK. I never believed the stories about love at first sight, but now I realize that it can be a reality. Our FOUNDERS relationship started immediately and I didn’t even notice how UNRESIPRICATED love twisted my heart. People say that when you find the MECHWARRIOR ONLINE FORUMS that you want to spend the rest of your life with… you will know it - NOT. I enjoyed the time we spent together and I regret to make such decisions. You are one of a few FREE-TO-PLAY GAMES on the earth which makes me feel UNconfident and UNhappy. You're ART DEPARTMENT IS understanding, attentive, intelligent, gentle and possesses many other wonderful qualities only OTHER real ONLINE FREE-TO-PLAY GAMES have.
After your move to another WAY OF DOING BUSINESS, I tried to UNDERSTAND WHY YOU believe in long-distance relationships – but I see it’s nothing in comparison with OTHER GAMES relations. It becomes more difficult to PLAY each time I visit you. Even having 80 HOURS OF PREMIUM time UNACTIVEATED for such long time, I tried to find enough courage just to see your GLOWING ATLAS eyes. I know that you are busy at VACATIONS and have even less time then me, but I can’t spend all my free MONEY on WAY TO MANY MECH SALES. I don’t want to receive imaginary DEATHS FROM ABOVE – I’m sick of YOUR NEW Internet FORUMS WITH NO REAL GENERAL DISCUSION SECTION. Our IN-GAME conversations are becoming shorter and rarer. I feel that I’m constantly loosing TO you IN PREMADES.
You know that I can’t leave the INNER SPHERE because THIER IS BARELY ANY CONTENT. I tried to manage this situation, but it was the first OF COUNTLESS timeS in our relationship I found no support from you. I know that you had a long way to come FROM YOUR VACATION to your dream job and put a lot of effort FROM YOUR ART DEPARTMENT in it. THEY work hard and I’m sure THEY will succeed. I see so much potential in youR ART DEPERTMENT, but only you can make it happen. So I don’t want to disturb you FROM YOUR VACATION – I only want youR ART DEPARTMENT to be happy.
In the future, I know I’ll relive our GRIND time together a thousand DROP times. I’ll hear your AC/20 laughter and see your ATLAS SKULL face and NOT feel your arms ACTULATORS around me BECAUSE THERE IS NO HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT. I’m going to miss all of that NOT FALLING DOWN, more than you can imagine.
My love, THE PGI ART DEPATMENT, I’ve lost hope THAT THOSE TREES WILL EVER FALL, and if hope is lost, then I fear we too will be lost forever. My decision is final as I have been battlE TECHing the best solution for a long time. I hope you’ll understand me and I sincerely wish you luck with everything.
I am cryENGINE3ing now,
Yours sinisterly,
ANTASIUS
PS: I'll check back in a year to see where you're at. Maybe we can hook up or whatever.

The current set of modules work just fine and people should be equiping modules that compliment the role they want to play. If I am trying to play a fire support role, I should be equiping enhanced zoom. If I am scouting I should go for enhanced sensor range.
How about instead you make it easier to get the generic modules but make them more mech or chassis specific. Or add a new mech specific equivilent that are easy to aquire that helps you fill your role better. This would allow us to do the role better and would therefore get higher XP/CB rewards in the process.

'What, where are you going. That took a lot of work. I've got slides and all this mech camo.'
'We were gonna call it The Great Mech Migration of 3050 but it wouldn't fit on the title line'

Like many have said Ui 2.0 was orginally slated half way through the year during the summer.
But new games and a map with ui 2.0 that still will have issues?
I support you all but if I see all this marketing again and this is all we get after so long then I am go to beyond and be in doubt of your abilities to pull off this game the way it should be."But I wouldnt be perfect either but I wouldn't market like you all did especially with a phoenix package and promising Ui 2.0 quite many times and then give an update like this.
I know this takes times but its been almost a year now that this has been talked about and in planning and also in development.
In my Book PGI needs to restore faith in there community if they want to keep the support and not by marketing and giving us sell deals.

Wait wait... in all the months we've been criticising PGI we've never seen a Dev typically respond unless it was via another command chair post, what made you think it'll work this time?! Best we could have hoped for was an IGP rep to pop their head in...
Remember the dev's are hard at work making UI2.0... well I couldn't say bug free now could I?...

Now? Now I constantly make "piggy" jokes on TS, and I'm on the verge of just writing this whole shebang off like all my friends did long ago.
My main reasons?
I was an MWLL alpha tester. Unlike almost every other member of our small community, I actually play this game, and despite a bunch of politics, wanted it to succeed. So far, it HASN'T.
It's been over two years now, TWO YEARS, that you guys have been working on this. We still have only a small handful of maps, two essentially indistinguishable game modes, a smallish selection of mechs, and have been sold on the dream of community warfare so many times that I'd like to nominate your managerial staff for used car salesman of the year, for the next decade.
You have an actual studio full of paid professionals, full access to the engine's inner workings, vastly superior hardware, and a comparatively HUGE community compared to what we had.
However, with just 10-15 volunteer devs (the number fluctuated as people came and went, many with only minimal experience who had to learn on the job), 10-15 volunteer testers (also fluctuated wildly, sometimes we'd only have two guys make it to the weekly test meetings) and a vastly smaller community, we put out more mechs, more game modes, more weapons, more "mech equipment", superior joystick support (totally hacked together by a single guy in the community), fewer game balance issues, and a HUGE assortment of maps (both community made and "official").
You mentioned you finally have working turrets? we had those ages ago, right from open beta. We had (also right from the start of open beta) up to 32 player matches on actual SERVERS instead of this "matchmaker" horror, allowing you to play with your friends/enemies on any map/gametype you chose, making leagues possible.
Notice how I didn't even mention the Battlearmor gameplay (with weapons and gear all it's own), Tanks, Aerospace assets, or that our maps had working Dynamic T.o.D., variable heat levels based on map location/weather/ToD/whatever, variable gravity, our mechs/tanks had working headlights/spotlights, roughly the same vision modes, and even:
*GASP* DESTRUCTIBLE TREES!
---
Let me be super clear here, MW:LL had ZERO funding, ZERO "Professional" devs, no access to the game's inner workings (We were a mod of Crysis, and then Crysis Wars), inferior hardware (whatever desktop/laptop you happened to have was it), and all work took place in our "free time". Yes, thats right, all of our work was done from people's homes all over the world, sharing files over SVN, and having meetings on Teamspeak severs hosted in a dude's basement. Not in some air conditioned office building in Vancouver.
Hell, we had two crazy eastern European guys who in a Coffee/Vodka fueled WEEKEND would crank out a mech or two, fully modeled, textured, rigged, and ready for weapons( this always led to a TON of arguments), stats, and final polishing. How many guys, and how many weeks does it take you guys to do the same? Mappers would crank out a solid stable map for testing in a week or two, in their spare time, and yet it takes you seemingly months to get a map out and you have stated that each one costs the equivalent of $250,000. Imagine all we could have accomplished with just ONE MAP'S worth of that cost.
Seriously guys, Step it up, PLEASE. We only yell at you because we care.
