I must admit that I don't like the new spawning at all. In almost any match the 3 lances are spread too far over the map, causing a long delay during regroup or makes everyone run off in another direction alone (=death). And the spawning points are much too close to the enemy spawning points. You only move a hundred meters and already get sniped/rained at. WTF? I don't get the idea of this. What was the intention? Don't allow teams to get in proper marching order (which is an important part of your tactics btw), disorient them and make them hang around until they figure out where every lance decides to go to?

This is the typical PGI style bull**** way of "improving" the gaming experience. Make working things worse and avoid fixing the real problems.

Anyone here that really defends the spawning changes after playing more than 10 matches?

Random capture points would have done it, but no - we spread out teams all over the map until they spawn almost within the enemy team. This make certain team setups and loadouts useless, you know? How do you think players like that?

Given, at the moment matches are much harder as too many lights are running around, which makes the new spawn point experience even worse (Light swarms appear amidst your team only seconds after the game started).

I really wonder how PGI does their play testing. Obviously the don't play PUG much, and it seems that they don't care much about the PUG players, as a lot of their changes and "improvements" make life for beginners and PUG players harder and harder. Even despite such "innovations" like 3rd person view.

Yeah, look that's really not going to make a difference...Ironically complaining causes changes.

here's an idea, why don't us players decide on a date and time to stop playing for a full week and see if someone notices?

I've been playing since beginning of open beta...how long doesn't matter, you're missing my point. It doesn't matter if you're tired of waiting, or your feelings are hurt or whatever. All the crying won't make a difference. You've been here for quite a while, how much difference has it made so far? All I'm saying is accept what you can't change, or move on...and certainly don't be rude to the developers.

As for setting dates....I take it you're so perfect that, unlike the rest of us you've never missed a deadline, or made mistakes, or taken on more than you could conveniently handle? It's obvious that, for whatever reason, PGI is having trouble getting the project done quickly. Why? I doubt we'll ever know. So you either continue to wait, or you leave. However, please stop dramatizing on the forums every time a new patch comes out. Complaints and suggestions are good, but crying about the delay has passed the point of being useless and annoying.

Edit: You joined two months before I did, for whatever the length of time one has been here matters.

I consider promising something to get your money and then not delivering at all pretty rude. So please accept, that there is a valid base for the community rage (not the typical "I lost a match, game is broken" posts, though). PGI did not miss a milestone or two, they missed every milestone. We are almost 2 years a very long time behind schedule (oh yes, I forgot, if you can't make the schedule, just re-schedule and it never existed).

You are right, we can't change much, as the many many constructive and very good ideas from a large and smart community of BT and MW fans are being constantly ignored (very few exceptions). PGI is doing everything their own way, can't blame them, it's their project. As long as people continue to pay, they believe they are doing things the right way. Only thing we can do is not give them any more money, until they deliver the stuff they promised years ago to get the Founders money in first place.

I'm in. But you know, the idea won't reach the mass of players, as many don't ever read the forums. What do we call it "Zero heat week"? What about Christmas week (23-29). Will this get us banned now? ;)

What a ballistic jenner was to much to ask for? PGI is lucky that jenners are the most op mech in the game and putting a ballistic slot would make it a game ender.

It won't make any difference if a handful of players quit playing for a week. Also, if you have active premium time and quit playing for a week as a boycott is pretty stupid.

We have calls of the new Jenner being DOA and other calls of it being P2W, all within a few posts of one another. What in the world???

Just another day on the forums, friend.

Edit: Anyone calling that thing P2W is either clueless or in a low Elo. No jumpjets and slow acceleration on a Jenner? Come on, now.

Also, anyone whining that the Jenner isn't ballistics-based: what is wrong with you? Have you used machine guns? They're bad. Have you tried jamming autocannons in a Raven or Spider? I just...

I feel like I should join in the fun and criticise but I can't. Great patch PGI. No really, after feeling a bit down after reading the announcements yesterday you've managed to pick up my spirits with this patch. Obviously I'd like more, who wouldn't, but for a 1st Tuesday of the month patch this exceeded my expectations in terms of content. Plus there really isn't anything in it I can criticise, I'm even enjoying the new spawn points and the battle flow they create.

Also, I don't know if it was something you did or just plain luck but my matches this evening have been much better balanced then I've ever experienced which has led to very close fights almost every time.

Either way you're getting a big thumbs up from me.

There is nothing Pay To Win in MWO, you can build very effective mechs for free, but it takes longer.

name me a game that is balanced around the nooby core that is playing here and than. balancing should not happen around PUG play. like in starcraft e.g., high end players define the game. the problem wit MWO is, i am not sure whether there is a kind of pro gaming scene. i doubt it.

btw i like most of the new spawn points and even the relocation of bases in river city. the problem within PUG games often ist, that people are too lazy to write some orders. mostly people just look like cows on the screen and wait that someone is writing sth.

...Better than us Dragon junkies could have hoped for. Seriously, She ROLLS with XLs the last thing in the world that I wanted was some do gooder fiddling with making the side torsos any bigger. This sounds pretty promising actually

I was getting excited for a hero Jenner, but with a 20% acceleration penalty and no jump jets it's a 35 ton boat anchor.

Nice move PGI. Continue ruining this game. You did a great job so far.

You're entitled to your own opinion. I myself find it quite anemic without JJs.
