I'm glad that you're happy with a team deathmatch stompy robot simulator. I will also agree, it's a pretty darn good one.

However, the same pew pew on the same maps gets stale. I put up money for something more engaging than just a team deathmatch stompy robot simulator. And it's funny, because I can tell so many other people feel the same way: when I drop, 75% of the names were in my last drop. That means the player base is dwindling, not because this game is a bad team deathmatch stompy robot simulator, but because people are getting tired of waiting around for the game that was promised that captured their imagination.

Anyone who says that the people who buy into MWO is NOT a investor is incorrect and has no idea what a investor is. We did indeed invest in the game, but instead of expecting a financial return, we expected features to be in the game that were promised to us at the time of investment. Features based on a timeline in the BattleTech universe with a 1 to 1 ratio (2012 = 3050), this timeline no longer exists. Any resemblance to a vague roadmap no longer exist. Now we've been told that as far as communication is concerned, we may or may not be getting a video update once a month or so. Most investors are pretty savvy at interpreting trends, and this particular trend does not bode well...

PGI has all the metrics. You guys have none.

They can take their time, Founders be damned. You (we) got our Founders packages etc their is nothing to complain about,

IF it tkes them well into 2014 to finish the game you guys all wanted then what's the complaint?

ANYONE but Bioware. What EA did to SW: Tor was outright criminal. How can a Star Wars IP fail so miserably ...???

You rode the TOR-Tanic too?

They screwed that game up royally.

I rode that boat for a long time with some Goons. I admit I really miss my Bounty Hunter though. It was fun for a bit, and I enjoyed leveling for awhile, but it definitely was a failboat.

An investor only by the loosest of interpretations. Like saying you're an investor in a book you're reading - you're investing your time, hoping for an entertaining story, right?

You paid for and consumed their products. Simple as that. Whatever amount of that revenue PGI elects to devote to specific feature development is completely their call, just like Starbucks, McDonald's or Apple. Are you an investor in those companies simply by buying their products?

So much wasted potential with a beloved IP. From 2hour queues at pre launch to closing servers in less than a year. I have to admit Hutt ball was kinda fun once you got the hang of it.

Last night, after our PuGs rounded a corner into a wall of withering fire, backed by sniper crossfire and LRM support, then proceeded to run into one another until they died, I just dropped my Arty strike at my feet, closed my eyes, and let it happen.

ELO means nothing.

Matchmaker is a pathetic joke.

I've dropped a man down in 60% of my drops for the last few days, often against massive tonnage.

PGI says they're working on Clans, UI2.0, and various other projects, but can't even get the basics of twelve on twelve to function.

It's no wonder there are so few veterans hanging around....

I agree with what you posted and I feel your pain, I also had matches where more than halve my team got wiped out within 4 min of match start. I had a match today where our only two assaults walked straight into the enemy and died real quick, when things like this happens I get this very strong urge to walk out of bounds or disconnect as I know whats left of us, is going to get stomped. In this particular match it turned out the enemy had 5 assaults and we did get stomped 0-12, and thanks to you I now have a better use for the Arty strike.

This exactly.

You may have "invested" in the product but are far from being (and I'm going to use PGI's exact wording here) a "stakeholder".

Additionally, we as investors are also stakeholders, the two terms are not mutually exclusive.

I don't understand how people think that they "bought" promises.

Read this http://mwomercs.com/...eveloper-update and tell us again that we did not buy into a promise. Look at how the Founders packs were pitched. And according to this http://www.gamasutra...hp#.UI6ow0Mj5mp MWO was crowd funded by the sale of Founders packs. That was back when the players like me were the target demographic.

Again, there's nothing preventing a customer from being a stakeholder or investor at the same time. We were sold goods and services, yes, but we were also sold features and promises.

And what they've basically done is take the money from players like you and used it to develop a game for the shooter fan boy that can't stand the thought of actually needing to use tactics or strategy. As I said earlier, even the new spawn points have been implemented in a manner that encourages near immediate contact as opposed to any sort of tactical movement to contact.

PGI wants the basement dwellers to spend the money mommy and daddy gives them moving forward, those of us that wanted an honest to goodness Battletech simulation are SOL.

Sadly, the white knights who singed up for accounts 2 months ago or when MWO officially "launched" aren't going to go back and read something from a year and a half ago. I vividly remember that dev update, as it's what got me to become a Founder (and it was posted on my birthday <_<). I wonder what this game would be like now if the whole Founders pitch fell through...
