I with Poom. If you bums don't like this game go back to MWLL the servers are still up!

OK, so I can make some grumpy posts or whatever, but: I hated MW:LL. Hated. Mostly due to the constant die-respawn-die style gameplay.

So I can't / won't do that.

And all of my expectations, all of those things I "thought I was paying for" that have thus far failed to materialize were things PGI stated themselves; promises and assurances they made to drive sales.

I am perfectly justified in being disappointed.

I am also no bum; having spent some $400-ish on MWO over the last year and a half. I am exactly the kind of customer PGI wants; I would think. Which is why it further confuses me that I and those like me are "not their core audience" or "on an island" or whatever, and that the things so many founders seem to clamor for are so slow in coming if indeed they will ever get here.

You so called Post is hardly a Post at all.. it's a hunk of {Scrap} through and through.

like a restaurant that's gross..

like a home that's filthy trashed..

like a dog that doesn't listen..

like a Guy who plays a Game thats only a so called Game....

So much Anger an Discussion about nothing. I can´t see it´s too late, I play every Evening for about 2-3 Hours and cant notice that there are no more Players.
Every single Piece of Information gets torn apart here in the Forums and ends in an posting-frenzy that has NOTHING to do with the Subject of the Post.

Thank you for a Game that is already great and please don´t listen to all the PPL complaining here in the Forums and still playing the Game. Of course there are many missing Features and some Bugs, but I´m sure you keep up the good Work.

Personally, I don't understand the people who complain about investing money and features not completing and coming available at the expected times. What money are they investing and for what? It's a free-to-play game, so they're not investing money in the game itself. Investing money in MC / Mechs / Premium time? Those were received.

Investing money in their own expectations? That's on them. I don't understand, apparently, but then again I have some patience. I thoroughly enjoy the game as-is and am more than happy to give a small company such as this ample time to put out a quality product. I'm a firm believer in "do it right" instead of "do it now"

Agreed!

question: Why would someone want to do something for people who are acting like jerks? We yell at them, diss them, **** on them, and treat them like {Scrap} all day long. Would you help someone who was treating you like {Scrap}? I would have definate second thoughts I know that.

Agreed. When trying to address a customer complaint, the moment they become overtly rude or verbally abusive, it's perfectly reasonable and usually in your best interests to simply write them off. There is only so far a business should go to satisfy the customer.

TC map mode is great and I hope we will get same/similar in MWO.
And I do not mean only respawn system but also system of active defenses! And not just coffee makers like our bases in MWO ;) .

Answer: because they HAVE to and are typically contractually obligated to, regardless of the behavior of their customers.

I have been on these forums for a long time. I have watched a lot of these people you call 'fools' write constructive post after constructive post and be systematically ignored. Those people have slowly over the months turned due to intense frustration.

Now alot of the current complainers asked complainers from a year ago to be more constructive. Couldn't understand the animosity, like you do now. I can't comment on you personally but I bet months from now you will see a lot of your current stop complaining companions sour. The cycle will continue. Winter is coming.

The cycle Joy, Interest in improvement, Confusion, Contempt, Anger, and finally, and worst of all, Disinterest.

I'm somewhere between Anger and Disinterest right now. Hope is fading but I still check here every morning for the chance that something will happen.

Disclaimer: Not everyone is effected by the cycle...just giving some perspective.

I believe PGI has every right to be as slow as they want.
No, they have an obligation to meet their commitments to their customers... particularly as their customers have bought into the game on the basis of commitments PGI have made.

I think PGI (for a rather new company) is doing great. MWLL was a mod. Not MWO which made a hole engine and brought us a hole new way of playing/
Actually, MWO is built on the Crysis engine - exactly the same as MWLL. PGI didn't make a ''hole'' (sic) new engine.

Evil thrives when good men do nothing. We may complain but it is justified. Why am I still here when so many have left and keep posting hoping beyond hope that someone in their Canadian shack will listen , its because I am a real mech fan and will no matter what happens not leave or just go away as so many have.

Is that dumb yes but I love MechWarrior. We founders and others who have spent money should have a right not to just be quiet and take it. When you cry in the wilderness long enough someone will hear you. I as all others have the right to be heard. Even if others do not want to hear it or it bothers them.

Well, it looks like we have a White Knight here!

Ride on, good sir! Ride on! Save the helpless innocents before they try the game and accidentally find out they enjoy it!

Graphics quality was roughly equivalent between the two games, even though MWLL was available 3 (?) years earlier than MWO, before the current version of CryEngine was even available.

And MWLL was a purely volunteer effort! MWO has a developer funded by paying customers, most of whom bought into the game on the developer's promise of major enhancements such as a Community Warfare metagame.

PGI, a full time development company, have achieved a lot less with MWO on CryEngine than a small group of volunteers achieved working in their evenings on MWLL.

Well, to be fair, PGI is neither as greedy and monolithic as EA (which has one set of problems,) nor as insane and incompetent as, say, Zynga or Cerberus with their Sword of the Stars 2 debacle.

Had PGI not somehow bartered away their credibility with constant promises they could not - or in some cases seemingly never intended to - keep, I think some honest delays would be more forgivable.

We keep hearing "big things next patch" or whatever and deadlines keep sliding and new features keep sliding and CW keeps sliding and... yeah.

I has a sad.

says it all really

Myself (all that matters) and many others, or we wouldn't be seeing this conversation; much less still seeing it.

And that is fine; go play MW:LL. Just understand I want very little to do with the "gameplay" of MW:LL of running out, sperging lasers, exploding, and immediately doing it over again, which is how the very few MW:LL matches I played went.

MW:LL was not bad; just not my thing. It was "Twitch Battletech" rather than "Slow Plodding Death Robot Battletech"

While there is some truth there, I'm sorry, but graphically, MW:LL was ***** compared to MWO. Environments were bettter, smoother, and map design overall was awesome but MWO has a lot that MW:LL didn't and does quite a few things better than MW:LL in my opinion.

Your bolded, final point, I largely agree with in spirit, but not in actuality; MW:LL had about the same overall development time as MWO has had thus far, and they did some things better and certainly put out more maps and vehicles and such; but I don't think the discrepancy between what was done and what was not between MW:LL and MWO is that drastic.

The main issue at hand is more "what was promised and HAS NOT been done" than simply "how much has been done."
