I approve too... but wait, how could I disapprove?

Would it be possible for a forum admin or mod to sticky this post?

This will start to get bigger once custom matches and CW comes out.

If it ever does.

But a discussion about PGI's competency is for another time.

We can start making it bigger sooner if more groups start signing up. All the other houses have successful TeamSpeak hubs where many groups reside, no reason why we can't either. It just need a bit of an initial push from the groups and a slight leap of faith.

tonight we had some TS problems while doing my 12 mans, I am glad we could have come to the FRR hub, but instead we dropped with the ELP since we were 12 manning with them, thank you for being our sloppy 2nds if we needed it though.

Indeed, we would've gone to the FRR Hub but with members outside our unit (and the FRR) dropping with us, it became more of a hassle than it was worth...

Still though, the thought crossed my mind to go to the hub, so progress! :D

I think its important to go all in. If you just keep dipping your toe in the pond you never really get to feel how warm the water is. 1st RDR has taken to using the hub as much as possible, and keeping our Comstar channel open as a secondary tab to pull in anyone who wanders onto that spot.

I'll have to disagree, but only on the principle of us being hurt in more ways than one in the past by such actions.

The fact that we're using it at all - and making an effort to do so - is a lot of progress for us, to be perfectly honest.

[Edited] Suffice to say, people we thought were friends ended up doing things behind our backs some would consider 'traitorous'. I don't have the knowledge of details to say more really.

Thanks for the support Surtr. For example last night we had 12 people on there, mixed between the 1st, 5th, and with some help from Amen. We ran a couple of 12 mans, mostly for laughs as the queue seems to have been populated only with a single group running meta try-hard configurations. Once we'll have more there we might be able to do 12v12s against each other, or just play sync drop madness. This is one of the reasons why I'd like to encourage use of the dropships, as opposed to your own group's channel. Of course this doesn't apply if you have group practice, or want to drop exclusively with your own.

I'm not expecting groups to use this as their only hub, that's too much to ask for and not always feasible (mainly when you've branched out into other games as well). However if they're playing MWO then they are most likely in their own dedicated channel, and there is little reason why they shouldn't come over to a place where you'll have more players from the same faction playing the same game. They might be able to fill a missing slot in a group, or they might be able to find that elusive last person for a 12.

Yep, I missed the chance last night...I was AFK doing things with the family and never made it back before bed, but someone had sent me a tell asking if I wanted to do 12-mans...hopefully next time! :)

You didn't miss much. By looks of it there was only one other 12 man in the queue, running 8 733Cs and 4 JR7-Fs. I don't believe I need to elaborate on their loadouts

I want to again thank martino for setting the hub up and commend the 1st RDR for being so active on there. Those of us in away status that are using multi-TS servers are often available to respond via pokes. Please find opportunities to mingle between units.

Keep on gamin on!

Cheers,

Jaxwen

19cinco96, it's mostly been a few on at a time and sometimes maybe two dozen. It is new born. Would wager there are a lot of other players that would use it if they knew about it. Time will tell.

Regards,

Jaxwe
