This is the cover of "Alpha Strike", which was being pimped out at the MWO launch party:

The art was done by our very own Alex "FD" Iglesias. So this may be a sample of what we could be seeing in the future...

HOWEVER, it is important to note that Catalyst Games licenses all their art from Topps, Inc. (who owns the rights to all Battletech imagery in print media). PGI does NOT license from Topps, and cannot use any art used in print media, not even other Battletech material, which is one of the (many) reasons why all of our mechs in MWO have to be redesigned as new and unique art for exclusive use in MWO. This also goes in reverse: unless CGL licenses MWO art, they can't use it in any publications either. Even MWT, which is also published by IGP (remember PGI =/= IGP) cannot use MWO's art, or published print media art either.

So while I would expect some similarities (same mech being designed by the same artist), MWO's MadCat will not be exactly the same as Alpha Strike cover MadCat

Damn, I was wrong about the Hellbie. That Mad Cat looks like it ate a few too many donuts with how thick those thighs got. It also has hips wide enough to pop out a baby Kit Fox lol.

Wide shoulders need wide hips. I like the arms, though, never liked the flimsy things on some of the "official" artworks.

Looks like a Mad Cat, but strange shadow, cause one arm (right one) is longe than the other (left). And strange legs.

It's a Mad Cat, and probably golden too.
